lol....Hmm 3" exhaust adds straight 15-20whp to my set-up.

I can't convince myself to sell my beautiful rare one I have now though

3" adds that much over stock, not over what you've got now. I'm sure you would still gain some more power but I doubt it would be worth it, especially if you like your exhaust now.

I can see the 3" picking up quite a bit of power over a 2.25 inch exhaust. I picked up 30whp going from the shitty 1.8" GReddy DP and stock exhaust to the 2.5" DP and exhaust on 1lb less boost pressure. I'm sure there is another 10whp there atleast and more with more boost pressure.

yeah, I could believe gaining that power over stock exhaust, but not over what he's got now, maybe it'll spool a little quicker.

Well the one test I saw was on a boosted Accord. He was tuned using a 2.5 inch DP, test pipe and exhaust. After swapping the exhaust for a 3 inch without doing anything to the fuel or timing maps the car gained 22whp over the previous set-up. After tuning the A/F I think the car picked up another 10ish whp.

Maybe you wont get the same results on a Civic running low boost but I don't think picking up another 10-15whp over a 2.25 or 2.5 inch exhaust is a pipe dream. Get it, pipe dream

anything is possible, all motors are different, I just wonder if the boost creeped up from the loss of backpressure and that was where most of the gain was. even .5 psi creep would make a difference.

From what he said the boost was .1 - .3 difference and it was a hotter more humid day when they installed the 3 inch.

I was just browsing around and on another site I found a dyno sheet. Same test on a stock bore H22 and 15psi. Again, only thing changed on the car was the exhaust from 2.5 inch to 3 inch and the car picked up 77whp ! Tuner stated absoluetly nothing was done to the fuel and timing maps and boost on each was both a solid 15psi. Though he didn't mention anything about the conditions on either day I can't see it being a real issue unless one day was 10 degrees and the other 100...LoL...pretty sick.

I don't think ever car will pick up some ridiculous numbers like these but there is definitely an improvement to be made. I may do the test myself after the summer is over. I'm not to sure because I'm actually loving how my car is sounding right now, pretty sick how quiet it is..well you'll all hear it soon enough . Maybe though if I get bored enough.

C'mon guys give him a break, i'm sure he has been busy especially with the move and all.

When he gets nice and settled in im sure he will get back up to speed...or he will get back up to speed in a couple weeks for sure.
