went to the track with the stang
took the stang to the track. between the weather being a little hot, the tires sucking, and wheel hop, I'm happy with a best of 13.9 @ 100.5mph. guys at better tracks under better conditions have gotten 13.6 - 13.8 around 103-104 with stock cars.
one cool thing is that the car itself is super consistent even when heat soaked. at first the track was pretty empty and I got 5 runs in about 25 minutes and the MPH only varied 0.2mph from each run. the wheel hop and 400 treadwear tires really limited the car. I may order some parts that'll fix the wheel hop, it's not that much money, $200-$300. then even with the same crappy tires it'll get off the line a little better, right now the best was a 2.1 60'.

2.1 60 is not that bad. Especially for your first time to the track with the car. I've seen a guy here take one off the showroom floor and run a 13.7. That put me at awe. AT least now you have a baseline run
 Now let the modding immense.. haha

yeah I'm happy, I hit 13's even in less than ideal conditions, that was my only real goal. faster would have been better but I only would have been disappointed if I didn't break into 13's. like you said now I have a base to go from for when I do suspension mods and add the charger

Not bad...just need a little more time with the car and stickier rubbers never hurt either

stickier tires are on the list but I'd rather add power first
