NA rotaries have ALWAYS been incredibly reliable just burned dirty. With the location of the exhaust ports in the RX-8 the engine will run much cleaner. Read the new SCC if you want to know/care about what I am talking about. In addition, look for the SRX-7 to clean up. It weights 1750 pounds and puts out I'd say around 380-400RWHP depending on boost/tuning.
again getting back to the RX-8, I personally think it will own a 350Z around the track. With its 50/50 weight distribution, 350Z is 60/40 I believe. Not to mention the RX-8 only weights 2,888 pounds which is around 350 pounds ligther than the 350Z. And has 12____ inch brakes on all fours. Styling of course can be debated but I am a rotary guy and I prefer the RX-8 but the 350Z is a sweet car none the less.
