would you........?????
im bout to turn sixteen and i had a great love for hondas. i kno a whole lot about them and planned on getting a 92-95 hatch and drop in a B20 and run either turbo or put a b16 head on it and run N/A......after i revised all my planns my aunt decided to give me her car....NOW it is not a honda nor a acura but a 1992 sentra se-r...i kno this car has whole lot a potencial for performance but it needs alot of work....for instance the engine and tranny is pretty much shot and body needs slight work...as for engine i can go to junkyard and get a G20 motor or 200sx ser motor or do the killa and drop a sr20det motor.....when i use to go to the track out in Jamaica i always seen nissan sunny's (sentras) and pulsars but was neva tooo intrested.....should i take the car and build all out ....meaning ditching interior, a/c, power steering and build a boosted motor and take it out only when someone is smack talking.. and still buying the hatch as a daily driver and do minor mods....or build the civic... and forget about the sentra......u guys givee me your opinons!!!!!!

if at all possible, i would keep the SE-R as a daily driver and get the hatch as a track item. the b20 swap is a good one. it would be alot easier to tune a turbo than to add a vtec head. also the 8.8:1 compression of the b20 is perfect for boost. although you would need stronger rods/pistons, it would be a good idea to keep the same CR.
boost away

I like the older SE-R's, the little kinda boxy ones. good performance for the money and easy to upgrade like the hondas are.

I'd still stick with honda, but the nissan would be a good 2nd choice.

Se-r Baby!! Keep the nissan..Be careful with the sr20det because as i have been told when something breaks on it you cant go to your local auto parts store and pick it up...You have to call japan(lol) an order it...so i would go for the new se-r motor and put a hot-shot turbo kit on it!!!! No doubt..You would be better of doing that

i just bought a 92 SE-R, they are getting rarer and rarer every day. Lots of potential in them and they are cheaper to modify than hondas, thats why i made the switch. But if i find a good deal on a hatch i might just scoop it up. I am just having an affair right now

I would do the SE-R only cuz they are not as popular as Hondas, and you can build good power off the stock motors. But to each his own :D
