CRX to civic dx

[DLS TekNiQue]

woohoo! i just got home. i just bought an '88 CRX. Its red and looks exactly like candymans did. the body is PERFECT! its never been in an accident, no scratches, no dents, NOTHING! it came with a double exhaust that sounds sick as fuck, and the guy just put a brand new motor in. a D15B. it only has 1,000 miles on it. its 5 speed of course, and the transmission and clutch are PERFECT. There is only one thing wrong about it...the seats are torn up...but the interior is perfect. all i need is new seats and im set. I'll try and get pics as soon as possible, but it probably wont be for another month or so. I payed only $1,000 for it!!!! cause my dads old time budy is a dealer and he basically gave it away to us. it also has some pretty cool rims, and some wide tires. it looks so sik and im so fuckin excited. the exhaust sounds sick as hell too! and it handles perfect. oh there was one aother thing wrong with it...the driver window is broken, so right now the driver door panel is off and a 2x4 is holding the window up...but its all good. just a little fix up ill have done within a week. it also came with a kenwood amp and some speakers. just gotta get em hooked up. im also gunna buy a sub maybe.

anyways im sooo excited, jsut thought id share my excitment with you guys. by the way...the club honda stickers go up on it first thing in the morning after i wash the car!

What the Heck???? How do u go from being so excited about having a car, then return it cause of a gas smell, even getting it at practically a "stolen" price! Any normal person would of got it checked out to see what was wrong, but returning a hot ride for that, Just stupid. That makes no sense at all, Is this another one of your story's? :confused: :mad:

my dad is real picky and he wanted to return it. my mom didnt approve of it and i guess she brainwashed him. yeah i know it was a steel, and if i was living alone i woulda taken it to get it checked out.

stories??? WTF..yeah its a story, but i think youre trying to say i tell false stories...no its not a false story...my dad said hed rather me get a civic so we are goin to look at some today...believe me i wanted to keep the CRX...but my parents wouldnt let me :(

actually i bought it with my own money. im glad i returned it though, cause i got something much better now. im in my last year of high school, and 17. im glad i returned it cause heres what i got..


i just went and looked at a 94 civic DX today. it was black...the guy installed power windows, a/c, EX guages with the tach, and painted the valve cover black. he also put an aftermarket ecu in it and a bullfrog head. and a B&M short shifter and clear corners. he also has a cam included but not installed, and a momo steering wheel and carbon fiber pedals included but not installed either. he kept his car in PERFECT condition and was the only owner. also came with a sony amp, infinity kappa front speakers, and a pioneer CD player. the interior and exterior are immaculate. its never been in an accident. anyways he was asking $4100. my dad is a salesman and used to own his own dealership. he talked the guy down to $3,200!!! The only thing is that it has 155,000 miles. but he just got a new timming belt, replaced the brakes and the boots. the car runs PERFECT. i was amazed of how well it ran with those high miles. anyways tommorow im bringing him the cash. so im gettin a 94 civic coupe.

ill get pics as soon as possible. im gunna be buying an exhaust, CAI, headers, rims, and a spoiler within the next months. Im also gunna instal the cam hes givin me.

the guy used to have coil overs, exhaust, CAI, headers and the cam in the car. but he sold everything except the cam to pay for school. he said when he had all that in it...he was running 14 secs on the 1/4. he even showed me his time slips. so once i get my shit in im be runnin in the 14's...woohoo! thats with a all motor D15!

dawg i aint swapping...this is why.

the guy port and polished the intake manifold, he did bullfrog headwork, an aftermarket racing ecu. he also gave me a cam and a throttle body to install when i want. i just talked to him. he said to buy the headers, and then he would help me put the cam and throtle body on. then ill get a cold air intake and exhaust, and he will help me set the ecu to the right place. ill be the fastest all motor DX with a stock motor youve ever heard of woohoo. ill be hittin high 13s-low 14s on the 1/4...which is hella fast for an all motor DX with the original motor. im gunna go all motor until this motor blows, which wont be for a long ass time. when its time (probably a year or two) ill do a GSR turbo swap.

oh yeah, congrats on the car, i mean i hate civics, but 3200 bucks that not bad. i just hope it doesnt fall apart on you or anything. i mean i know jap cars last a long time, like i dogged my old corolla(sister has it now) and its still running strong at 123,000....but its starting to need a lot of preventive maintance, the timing belt and CV joint both need to be replaced on it. but hey for a car she only payed 500 bucks for its still a bargin. oh well, good luck man....

i just took out the airbox and bought a filter for 20 bucks and put it on there. haha it looks pretty ghetto...the stock rubber pipe with a filter, but it looks cool at the same time cause the pipe is black and the filter is red. i also installed new red spark plug wires. my valve cover is black, so my cosmetic under my hood startin to look good! black/red

i only bought the cheap ass filter and put it on cause the car sounds soooo fuckin powerful with it on. it sounds like i got a GSR...and i know what that sounds like cause my homie has a GSR in his civic. we both got no exhausts :D and its still loud as fuck...but not no gay exhaust loudness...its pure engine power baby!...D15B7 engine power! ;) :D

but ill be gettin a red AEM CAI in like a month :D when i have money :D

dude i just painted my rims black...it looks like a fuckin sick ass sleeper now! it looks all JDM style.

oh and also...i raced a '97 civic ex with CAAI and exhaust (well thats what he said he had, but i know he has something else in there). the guy also has a stripped out interior. and i mean totally stripped, all he has is the drivers seat...not even the passenger seat. anyways he only beat me by like a foot or two...i kept up with him! and my car is a dx with no exhaust or CAI. it felt fuckin cool. once i get my throttle body on ill smoke him though. im gunna put the throttle body on really soon.

haha about an hour ago i was goin down the road, and i see this white civic ex 2 door around a 96-00 model with a bad ass body kit and an exhaust (from what i could see). So i quickly catch up and pass it. we stop at a light and i look over and its a chick! she is shaking her head and smiling and lookin foward. so i was like "aww man she doesnt wanna race." so the light turns green and what do i know she takes off flooring it! it was a stick! so after shes about a car ahead of me, i realize she wants to race so i floor it and slowly reel her in. i smoked her by about 3 or 4 cars...wonder what else it had in there? hahha anyways it was fun, too bad i had to turn at the next light so i didnt get to rerun her or talk to her...she was pretty fine too :D

man im just an EX eating machine!

I got another kill story..

Today i raced my friend who has a '98 civic EX coupe. he has greddy headers, AEM CAI, and a dual exhaust. both races were from a complete stop to about 110 MPH. the first race i pulled on him hard, beating him by like 3 or 4 cars. the second race he pulled on the launch by like a car length, but i reeled him in and beat him by like 2 car lengths.

when i used to have my old 98 civic EX with a CAI and exhaust...he beat me by like 3 car lengths. so he is not a bad driver...hes a really good driver...my DX just ownz! i totally thought he would smoke me...and so did he. but once again i showed a EX up.

I am still an EX eating machine!

haha i forgot about this post too. i turned out i did have insurance, but i thought i didnt since i had just got the car and my parents didnt say anything. the bitch never called...i wished she would have so i could hae gotten a new bumper. but too bad huh. also my ****in stock honda emblems got stolen a few days ago too! thats the second pair of emblems that i get stolen. now im riding around with two white holes on my hood and two white holes on my trunk.

ive been adding a few things to my car. i got new clear corners with super white bulbs, i got super white headlight bulbs, i installed red shift boot and a red ebrake boot, i put on the red/black honda seatbelt shoulder pads, some white face guages that light up blue or green (there is a switch to select between 3 shades of green and 3 of blue), and i am currently in the process of doing my own custom interior. i bought like 8 cans of special fabric firethorn red spray paint, and a few cas of flat black. i am spraying my interior black and red. so far ive done the under dash on the drivers side, the dash where the guages are, the plastic pieces that surround the base of the steering wheel, the passenger side door and door handle, the speaker covers on both sides, the center console. ive done all that red. i am going to start the driver side door tommorow and the interior roof is gunna be black and the plastic edges will be red. i will start on the roof and plastic pieces probably on tuesday. sprayin this **** is a bitch, but its gunna look hella nice when im done. in a few months ill re-apoulster all my seats to vinyl red/black. i ordered a flip trunk kit, which i should get tommorow and ill install that. ill be doing window tint soon.

i am also purchasing some tanabe lowering springs from tim either tommorow or tuesday, and after i sell my xbox, ill use the money for headers and exhaust. hopefully ill have my cam, headers, exhaust and CAI in within 2 moths. then for christmas ill be gettin some 17s! then in 2003 ill be lookin for a type r spoiler, a black widow body kit, and a sound system installed with a custom trunk. then probably near the end of 2003 or early 2004 ill be doin a GSR turbo swap. once i do that ill be workin on tha motor (ie. headwork, bore it, cams, ect..) :D

bro wtf is wrong with having a nice interior? my car will eventually be in shows so i am getting a head start. i love the way custom interiors look, which is why i am doing mine. and its not an interior thta really contrasts or looks like a hospital room, or STANDS OUT WAY TOO MUCH. its just a little nice touch, and i think it looks awesome...plus the ladies love it :p ;)
