Initally I said I wasn't going to drop it.. BUT now that they're on... I think I do want to lower it slightly..

And the suspension kit I have will raise the car (apparently).. so maybe the Eibach Pro kit lowering springs I was checking out is in the near future mod plan.. ;)

Blue and white has always been a favorite of mine.. :D

i think chris is doing an excellent job on her car, she knows everything about it, everything she wants to do to it, and if she doesnt know the answer she finds it, i seriously admire her work and persistance in building the wrx, since i will whip her ass in my honda..J/K had to be a bit smart ass, but i know she knows more about that wrx than most of us know about our hondas, and those funny nissan cars..

Nice ride. I'm surprised how well the white wheels look on the WR blue paint. I'd go larger diam uppipe, gauges, and full turboback exhaust for the first performance mods. The wheels are a great start.

I don't mind asking for help when it's needed. I'd rather someone who knows what they're doing be installing my parts rather than attempt to do it myself.. with no prior experience... and most guys don't have a problem with this!!

I think there's a difference between not caring and paying someone to do the work, and not knowing how to do the work while sticking around to learn.

It's not like I dropped my car off, and bounced...

I stuck around, took notes and pics, documented the changes being made to my car and helped as much as I could.... I can't do the work myself I don't know how.. but I'm willing to learn. That's the difference. I have to start somewhere!!!

HA HA and I thought yesterday couldn't get any worse..

Until it started raining and 1:00AM was rolling around.. so my friend and I decided to go to dunkin donuts..

Going about 20mph turning into the parking lot, Scoobie slides out... hits the curb... we launch about two feet over the curb.. BAM.. hit it HARD coming down... dragging something underneath...

Turnout: One mangled front right rim, w/ a popped tire... & nearly ripping the other lip off the back right one.. mangled the plastic on the underside (not too worried about that) and scratched the sub-frame (have to check that out)... THIS HAS NOT BEEN MY MONTH...

Pulled over 4 times, 2 tickets, f*cked up the new rims NOT EVEN HAVING THEM 2 weeks, and a brand-new tire down the drain.. THIS SUCKS.http://www.clubhonda.com/images/ubbicons/banghead.gif

Granted though, I did leave with what I had come for (a donut :rolleyes:).. not exactly where I wanted it but.. oh well... SHIT HAPPENS.. It was kind of funny though, the guys who came over to see if everything was okay said they had NEVER seen a car launch like mine did.. At least I was someones form of entertainment for that evening..

Looking on the brighter side of things, the stock rims are going back on.. and I can go off-roading again!!! :D Yea BABY!!

Sorry it took so long to get back. I was actually just visiting from I-club trying to get more info on a meet I'm going to. I hate to say it but my rides probably even more stock than yours. So far Katzkins silver/charcoal leather, OEM Boost gauge, Defi gauges, STi pedals, Stromung axelback not installed yet waiting for a TurboXS midpipe and downpipe (so I can relate on things just sitting in boxes).

I know everyone hates the infamous 'future mods' list but here it is: wheels are next, uppipe, coilovers, Subaru Giken WRC grille, Prova body kit, jdm STi headlights, seats, fuel equiptment, PE1818 turbo, TXS Utec... I think thats all for now.

Odd place to meet another WRX owner, but your ride definately looks cool. Sounds like you have big plans for it :)

you hit a curb goin 20 mph...i hit a curb straight on going 70 mph...i flew about 30 feet, and had over $6,000 in damage...the insurance decided to total my car....thats how bad it was. and it was all undercarriage damage, radiator, hod, and front bumper and rims and wheels got torn to shreads.

hehe, i hope so, we just gave away our pig we had sittin in the freezer. It was for a good cause though. A customer came in and her husband lost her job and they had literally no money to get food, so we said pull your truck around, so they did and we came out with a 200lb pig..lol. she was in tears, so it made me feel good inside. Definately would do it again..You see guys, hunters can make a difference too..hehe

I miss my Scoobie!!! I feel like I lost my best friend... that's why I personify him the way I do (if any of you all are wondering) I love him.

So...

Here's the update: The 'ambulance' ((flatbed)) came and picked him up earlier this week.. He's at a shop in north Jeresy...

Luckily the lower control arm I mutated is included in the performance suspension kit.. so that's taken care of..

The rear torsion bar has been bent back into place.. and will remain there until I get the upgraded STi ones...

The sub-frame which I THOUGHT I had only bent in the front had a lot more damage than was visible. After being put on a machine to realign the subframe he got his butt fixed.... LMAO..

Tomorrow they're going to fix his front (of the subframe) and fix the broken arm...

Hopefully I'll have my baby back by this weekend but it may be as late as Monday... bummer!!!

So in the meantime, I've been pimpin my mom's '98 ML320.. which isn't too bad.. and my boy who has a civic :D has been teaching me all about the 'wonderful' world of FWD Hondas.. ((wheel-hop LIKE THAT?!! DAAAAMMMN!!! How do you guys survive?)) He's such a sweetie though.. see what happens when my Scoobie isn't around?!! RUT RO

FYI... I had a really weird dream last night that Scoobie came home silver and didn't have the short-throw... lmao... WTF does that mean!? :confused:

Lastly, I think this is the funniest thread ever.. everything from my first upgrade to crashing my car, to the CAN-AM flame wars... only on ClubHonda!!!!!!

Yea, da benz.. it's not that great (true Paradox, 6-cy benz' are lame but better than nothing!!), I'd take my Scoobie out over that anyday!

I've driven the ML55 and that thing is a BEAST compared to the 320... and the 600 class V-12.. straight up BAD A$$... that thing is pushing 500hp?!!! Didn't know that, but woudn't doubt it!

I've had the performance suspension for Scoobie since I bought him.. it's just been sitting in boxes waiting to be installed.. and in those boxes was an upgraded version of the control arm I killed.. lol, they're not installing the struts... just what needs to be fixed...
