I gotta go to this, gonna try and take a day off this saturday! www.mazdarevitup.com (http://www.mazdarevitup.com) for $39 you get some autoX training AND you get to hot lap the new mazda6 on their autoX course. they provide everything and it's only $39. if you don't race, you can test drive cars or race the go carts for free. I'm sure they charge you for something like maybe parking or food, but the event itself is free. "you mean I get to abuse someone else's car? they're in Miami from 5/31 to 6/1.

here's my first run, wedged my digital camera in the passenger headrest and hit video mode, no sound but kinda cool. this run was my better time, I went into one turn too fast and farged my time, but it was still fun, gimme a few laps and I would start smoking peeps <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif" alt="Cool" width="15" height="15"> it started to rain a little, so I think that helped me lose it in the turn, but it's all good.

tried to set it up for the second run, but didn't have time. the second run was half in the rain and slower anyway. I tried to use the POS auto stick that didn't work for jack, plus the car's CEL was on, he he, I hit the rev limiter a bunch of times <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15">

I got a 38.990 as my best time, really killed my time with that one turn, but it was raining on us. the pro driver's time was 34.something on that run, but it was dry when the pro driver went out.

yeah, if I was better at autocross and had a real chance of doing well, I would have been pissed with out timing and going out in the wet, but I wouldn't have won either way so it's all good. it was fun and I got to abuse the rides and check out the RX-8 which is really pimp.
