Benet SCs 163MPH Civic EX

Thats right, 2 years, 6 grand , and 5miles later, 163mph! After putting a new computer in my car I completed all the mods needed from Top Speed racing. On home video we hit a lonely Hwy, and side by side with my buddies turbo Si, and Corvette we eased by the turbo at 145mph, and slowly got up to 163 on my on board Dig Speedometer. Possibly could have gone faster but have you ever heard a SOCH rev at 8 grand in the 160s for a good amount of time. SCARY! But it wouldn't complete the story if I didn't note that the SOCH Beast blew a rod at a high rpm 2 months later and found a new home in a junk yard.
Our next project, a daily driven 163+mph 4cyl. :eek:

ex redlines at 8500 right if he was in 5th turning 8000 what would that be on a stock ex mabay 135 140 something like that **** you must had changed the gears in it or something ballone tires hee hee mabay ohh and what kind of rods were you running that broke b/c i just bought mine and i was wondering if there were the same kind i bough b/c if they were i was gonna send mine back ha ha

well anyway what speed do u think a ex would get to if you turned it to 8000 rpm with the stock tranny

I don't know about an ex tranny, but the stock hatch tranny in jayracer's car is geared so redline 2nd is 75+mph lol. it's si hatch's redline with the stock hatch econo geared tranny :eek: 75-80 in 2nd. you redline first, and the rpms drop to 3k in the 1st to 2nd drop lol. if you could redline 5th in that, it would be like 250mph :eek: lol.
