im doing a b20 block and b16 head hybrid on my 95 civic ex and i need to know what all i need for it (tranny, etc.)

easiest way would be go get a whole swap of one, then the VTEC head. so I'd get the B16A swap so you have the tranny, ecu, axles, vtec head, etc. then just get the B20 bottom end at the same time or later on.

just by a swap b/c there is a lot of things u want like the v tec oil pump and little stuff like that that is made for the v tec system

so the si head is better than the gsr head because of compression right?

yeah, but it also has a better head flow. it flows more air, more efficiantly

Id a thought you guys would know a thing or two about hondas..

the si head is NOT THE SAME AS A JAPANESE B16 HEAD!!! SI'S ARE PIECES OF CRAP.
AND,PARADOX, THE GSR HEAD OUTFLOWS THE AMERICAN B16 HEAD BY 2CFM ALL ACROSS THE BOARD.
NOW, FULLY PORTED, THE B16 HEAD HAS MORE POTENTIAL.OUTFLOWING THE GSR'S 161 CFM, WITH 167 CFM.
SO WHAT DID WE LEARN HERE KIDS...
STOCK, THE GSR HEAD OUTFLOWS THE B16.. (RECTANGULAR PORTS ACOUNT FOR THE COMPRESSIONB DIFFERENCE)
FULLY PORTED, THE B16 KILLS IT.
THE B16 HEAD HAS MORE POTENTIAL, AND THE HEAD COSTS 1/3 THE AMOUNT OF A GSR HEAD. DO THE MATH.
GSR ANYTHING IS A WASTE OF MONEY, AND TIME.PERIOD.
