cool focus V8 hybrid at NOPI

I'll get a pict up later, but there's a company that puts V8 RWD swaps into the focus :eek: and it even keeps a/c! pretty sweet.

I grabbed thier flyer, talk about a sleeper, he he.

if I were to get it, I'd rather get a fuel injected 5.0 motor, but it's still cool that they did it and from the outside, you can't really tell.

Yea Hotchkis Racing sells the kit.It's actually a easy swap if you are good with tools and your hands.I saw it in a magazine that outlined the whole thing. Could you imagine saying "yea I'll race that P.O.S. Focus" And that thing just light up the back tires and leave you sitting there in shock.

fuel injection is nice....but a 5.0 is only 302ci....personaly id rather have the 351w:D

I saw a magazine, think it was Focus Fanatics, where they took an '03 cobra and put it all into the focus...500hp RWD

I remember seeing the guys who make the mount kits to put the v8's into the focus, mad loot for the mount kit! if I remember right it was around 10k before you even got a engine or tranny! cool part was that it kept a/c and everything.

I used to have a focus before a deer and trees decided I should get a different car, but I looked into this before. The actual cost for having someone else transplant a v8 into the focus was 10k complete. The site that does it I think is www.Focusperformance.com but I'm not 100% on the price. There are people on focaljet.com that have the swap and are pretty happy with it. Definitely would suck thinking it would be an easy kill just pulling up to it at a red light, but you can hear that 8 under the hood...not very quiet(the older v8 swap).
