hummm, think that motor only cam in auto, so if you have auto right now, it shouldn't be too hard a swap. but the v6's that came in that model weren't that good, I don't think it would be worth the trouble. if you had a newer accord, that v6 would be a little better than what you have now.
personally, I'd just go with the H22A unless you got a really good deal on the v6 motor.

I just remember those model year v6's being slow that's all. so if you were to do all the work of a swap, you'd want to see a big improvement.
the newer model vtec accord motor does have more HP than your current motor.

on the newer engine...would that be a direct swap? also, what is the availibility of aftermarket parts?

I would think it would be an easy swap, since it's a "F" series motor. there's a good supply of parts for that motor, turbo kits, pistons, rods, cams, etc.

any idea as to a price range for the engine?

I wouldn't know, it varies so much depending where you are. down here, it would be pretty cheap since there's millions of hondas. I wouldn't pay too much, figure a H22A swap is $2,200, so if you get close to that amount, just get the prelude swap instead.

dude just get the h22a. The 95-97 v6 are crap and there only automatic and the trannys suck on em. Plus there like 170hp and 145 tq (c27a)
Compared to a 190 hp and like 140 tq h22a

2500 for the motor and if you pay for installation 500-700 or do it yourself if you know how to.
If you got the cash.... get that done!
Then Boost ;)
