what all do i need

i have a LS integera 95 i want to rebuild it this winter .i want to go v tech . plus i am running 8 lbs with my drag 3 turbo kit if anyone has done it before let me know price range i am looking to spend. i want to build my ls block useing only the head and the little stuff like v tech oilpump and stuff like that but i want to keep my tranny . So i want to build it to turn about 9000 or 9500 and run about 15 lbs of boost daily and 20 at the track. all info i can get would be helpful any links or cheap places i can find a head

well, to build the bottom end with pistons and rods plus other misc stuff (like a head gasket and new timing belt while it's apart) will run about $1,000.

getting the VTEC head and intake manifold should be in the $500-$600 range, www.thepartstrader.com (http://www.thepartstrader.com) usually has stuff like that available. also, it might be cheaper to buy a built block, then sell yours to ofset the cost. this guy... kxemig1@aol.com had a built LS block for sale a little shile ago for $800.

well if you're plannin to turn 9k daily and keep it reliable you're lookin to spend a pretty penny.
hope you gotta deep wallet cuz its gonna get expensive real quick with machining costs,oiling system (hardened pump gear,higher flowin oil pump cuz vtec pumps are only good to about 8500 reliably,from what ive seen)ls pumps are only good to 7500 i know for a fact(dont ask how)you can build a good street motor though thatll put about 350-400 to the wheels reliably for bout 3k to 4k and still keep all the ac and stuff.hoped i helped sum
