Im just curious why people dont swap in accord motors in hatch's. The common swap everyone knows is the b16 or b18 but for the cost of the f22a (less than a grand) you cant 150hp and 152tq for depending from 1100-2500 cheaper. I saw an article once a guy was running 13's on the accord motor. I know this is a stupid post but just wanted to ask. Slap a turbo kit on that for the same price if not even cheaper than a GSR motor would cost. :D

because its heavy. you can get more power for the same weight with the h22a, or for less weight you can swap a b18 and get almost the same power. there is also alot more out there for the b-series engines

I saw a guy online who had the VTEC F23 in his 92-95 hatch. it's not a bad swap, 150hp and 155 torque stock, it's kinda like a crvtec with a little less hp and a little more torque.

he was running low 14's with that swap and only intake and exhaust if I remember right. the only real reason to get that over the H22A is the price, otherwise I aggree with paradox, just go for the H22A.

yeah the price is soo much more from a f23a to a h22a or b16 or b18 so if you dont have the $ then its worth it otherwise the market has more stuff for the b16a or and b18c

also because the engine wasn't meant to take abuse like the B16 engine. the internal parts like the rods are weak.

young yes.. youd be surprised how strong the f series actually are.. really.. they arent as bad as you think... for a 600 bucks swap.. not a bad idea. better than those hatch 50hp engines :)

actually, when we had accordy2g's motor apart, the rods are thicker than my B series rods. the weak point in his case was the pistons.
