im looking to put a swap in my 00ex. i want a swap that will be easy to install (like a simple bolt right on motor and tranny), but at the same time give a solid hp and tq gain.. i dont want to have to buy a bunch of stuff like motor mounts, axels ect.. which will be right for me??..

unfurtunately, you can't simply swap only the engine and tranny. but for about $2,500 you can get a B16A swap with everything you need, including all the mounts and axles, etc.

if you don't want to do all that you could get some sort of boost, turbo, supercharger, or nos. the f-max turbo kit for the ex motor lays down about 230hp at the wheels, that's enough for high 13's.

Drop a B18c1 in there. 170hp 121lb ft. Complete changeover price is $3300 (hondamotorsonline).with that power you will be in the high 14s (pretty impressive since your car is prolly in the 16s). afterwards, you might want to bolt on a turbo setup or a supercharger from Jackson Racing or Vortech. what i mean is that the possibilites are endless. you can even go high compression or simply just add regular boltons ie: intake, header, exhaust. or if you really want to make a drag car you can swap a H22A but you need axels and the whole nine. or if you want an auto-x car swap a b18c5, some skunk2 stage 2's and other parts but then you need to modify the suspension and whatever. oh, and about the motor, you can ask around on oh i shouldn't say ClubSi and they wil ltell you to talk to a guy name steve. you should pm slurp56, he works there. or you can just call hondamotors directly at:(818) 723-2572 or check out their website at: www.hondamotorsonline.com (http://www.hondamotorsonline.com). Good Luck.

$4800-5200.00 for a Civic Type R motor....kidding, thats a lot of money.

I say GS-R motor or B16A Si motor is the way to go.

I agree a b16 would be the easiest swap to throw in your car and one of the cheapest.

for the power, h22 is incredibly cheap
but its complicated to swap.
b16 is the way to go

Hmmm, a civic right? Well I would suggest going with a Ferrari v-12. I know you're thinking, dear lord, it won't fit. I promise you, it will. You may have to cut a hole in both your quarter panels and your hood for it to extend out of, but it will fit. If you need some help doing this, hell, just call me! Ill bring my acetylene torch, and we can make you one hell of a hybrid. it would be a japian.
