GSR into DX ....A/C ????

ok one quik question....im assuming the B18C has A/C so would i be able to put A/C into my DX when i get the swap??? all i would need is the A/C button out of ac SiR/Si??


if im an ass for asking this just tell me, or what do i need to do this????

if you're swapping a B series engine into a 92+ civic/integra then a/c is easy to keep. when you run into trouble is trying to have a/c in the 88-91 car with the B series, you can do it, it's just harder. and you'll have to do a bunch of custom stuff to have the H22A and a/c. saw a dude with a del sol who had the H22A swap and kept a/c, had to make custom engine mounts and a custom a/c bracket.

yeah, I don't know if you would use the a/c compressor you allready have or if you would need the a/c compressor from a B series engine. but it shouldn't be a problem at all for your car.

in that case, I'd go to a junkyard and get everything a/c related from the same gen civic as yours, at least you'll have all the parts. then you just have to install everything, you'd need someone who's knows what they're doing to get it installed and working right.

I think there is actually a bit more to it than that. I'm in the process of hooking up my swaps A/C. (although I started with A/C, so some of my info might be bogus to you without any)

I Have a B18, you'll need the compressor from the B-series engine. Also, I needed a Del Sol engine/AC mount. Not sure why, just do. You'll also prolly need the B-series hoses that run from your compressor to your A/C cooling fan. Everything else should be Civc Junkyard Scrounging. Oh, and a warning, if you plan on getting any of th A/C parts new, expect to lay down some serious $$$, I mean the high pressure hose itself is roughly 170.00 new.
