i'm interested as well...thinkin about doin b20 in my car... From what i hear..i can convert all my gsr parts on to the swap..and all i have to buy is a new head gasket..?!
Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch-slap that mother@#?!&! upside the head!!!!!

from what I know, you have to get the holes in the head drilled to the right size for the dowl pins, pretty sure it needs to be 14mm.
then you need to get oil to get VTEC to work, I know a place in cali that sells a kit for $120 that has evrything you need along with instructions.

There are places like Importbuilders @ www.importbuilders.com (http://www.importbuilders.com) (i think that it) that can help you know what you need. Basically its an LS block with an Si head....but you knew that....the Si head should come with all the VTEC equipment/parts. The only thing that I can think of is you will need to get a tuned ECU, maybe a programmed Hondata. I dont know that part though, could be wrong.

LS/VTEC Parts List:
complete vtec head w/ ecu
b18b timing belt (or vtec timing belt to match vtec water pump)
b series dohc vtec head bolts (94+ gsr's)
b18b head gasket (to gain more compression use just the middle
layer).
a threaded flat head screw to fill the oil feed hole on the vtec
head or have a machine shop weld it for u.
Recommended (additional) List:
vtec oil pump
shot-peened rods or aftermarket ones
arp rod bolts
arp head bolts
higher compression pistons
headwork
aftermarket cams
hondata, or vafc, or fields vtec controller

More useful info:
*if u plan on just sticking with the stock b18a/b pistons, be aware the aftermarket cams are out of the question. with ITR cams u are pretty much stuck with the stock setting (try not to advance the timing). since the b18b's pistons have very shallow valve reliefs, there won't be that much clearance for piston-to-valve contact. ur margin for error with ITR cams are pretty slim...with more aggressive cams u will punch holes in ur pistons.
*u can reuse the b18b waterpump. gsr and ls waterpumps share the same flow rate. if ur going to get a vtec waterpump, make sure that u get the matching vtec timing belt with it.
for example: ls waterpump = ls timing belt
gsr waterpump = gsr timing belt
b16 waterpump = gsr timing belt (b16 belt is short)
ITR waterpump = (see gsr waterpump)
*the only milling job needed for the vtec head is just to have it resurfaced. especially after plugging/welding the oil feed hole. try not to mill the head just to gain more compression. u will be compromising the head by doing so. valve clearances will also be compromised.
*use a vtec tranny. this is a must if ur going all motor. the ls's long gears will not be enough to get u to the upper rpms where vtec power shines. keep ls tranny if u want to turbo later on.
*make sure that u make up ur mind about whether keeping it N/A or boosted. once the engine is in it'll be very cumbersome to take the engine out and swap out pistons and rods, etc. choose ur poison and try to stick with it.
sorry for the long post. if i left anything out feel free to let me know.
