View Full Version : Could a legend motor fit in the newer accord?

i was thinking of dropping a legend motor in my'01 accord, could it fit would i need new motor mounts?? that 6psd tranny is tempting to me. :D

Do you mean the CL type S V6 260hp, 6spd motor? The two cars are on basically the same frame, but....it would take some modification I'm sure to get it to work. But it sounds like a bad ass idea.

yes the cl type s engine will fit in the 6th generation accord...it will take some modification and you may need custom engine mounts but it will work...6 speed and all...getting ahold of this engine will be your biggest problem though...as for the legend motor, it was already put in the 5th generation accord as the v6 back then...the front end had to be modified slightly though and is about 3-6" longer than the 4 cyl. accord...

yeah i was thinking that it would be harder to get the motor than actually do the swap. I just want something a bit different cause the H22a is common so i figured the cl type S motor would be a bit more original. plus the more HP helps too :)

Hell if I had the money I would put a F20 out of a S2000 in my Si, of course ripping out the interior, making a custom transmission, custom rear suspense to make the car RWD....it would be so much money, but it would be so sick.
