I see a late model white mustang with exhaust driving pretty fast ahead of me and luckly we catch a light. I look over and this guy looks like he just got out of jail, tats all over his neck, back and his face is nasty. Gangster and for sure hard core.
I decided to look straight ahead to not piss him off and be ready if he hits it.
We roll out easy, my bumper is at his front door and off we went. Top of 1rst no gain, top of second and we are even now, as I hit 3rd his car faded back and at the end of 3rd he was 1 1/2 cars behind me. We caught the next light and this dude says...."hey holmes!! what you got in there?"
Just a little old saab 2.3 liter 4 cylinder I said. :D :D

Nah man I think you missed a gear or something......
This cat was ready to trow down, probably was packing so I made sure to compliment his car. :eek:
Next time you race someone be sure they don't have APB's all over the country.

i hate hearing mustang kill stories :(...nice sabb though man ;) just outta curiosity what kinda mustang was it? a GT or V6? :confused:

:confused: v-6??? dude I don't even look at those. It was a 2001 GT and I was surprissed he kept up, he said it was "fixed up" so that explains it. Most of the time I look for cobras or LS1's.

thats cool man, yeah i know V6s are kinda slow, i dunno i like it, i can aford to drive it and its fun, so it fits my critera for a second car...although id really love a V8(its just somthing i have to have before i die) i like that you chose a saab as your project car, i always though those things were chick cars but hey to each his own, if yours can beat a mustang GT than it has my respect :D that guy sounded like an asshole, nice kill but watch yourself next time..i wouldnt wanta hear about another insodent of road rage on the six o'clock news ;)

I hear ya. my first car out of college was an 87 GT. I loved it. Kept it 6 years before I moved up to a :rolleyes: 93 Acura Legend. Gave it to the wife and drove her Isuzu Rodeo. In 97 I bought a Maxima SE :p and that car gave me the urge to find something nice, confortable, fast, that could carry 4 people with easy.
My father had Saabs while I was growing up and I always liked them. Unique , sleeper, turn up the boost :D and there you have it.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear so here it is plain and simple.

2001 mustang gt with aftermarket exhaust.
Driver said the car was "fixed up" whatever that means. I never race v-6 stangs, not being cocky or anything but they are not a challenge for my car.

4 bangers may be over rated in places where theres lots of imports but overhere everyone thinks there shit. 260 hp from a mustang gt is alot but not from a v8. you cant argue with a 4 banger out of an s2000, 240 hp,153 torque,2 liter Displacment, with only half the cylindes. Even tho the mustang v8 sounds tight as fuck!!!, id still take a 4 banger over it anyday.

oh my god, this thread is soo old i cant belive you guys draged it up...ughh...look ill admit that imports are better made, and more enginered then domestics. and a honda s2000 is preaty cool for what it its, i mean i wouldnt buy one but there cool little cars none the less. the thing you forget about it though is that with an engine that revs up to 9,000rpm you really have to drive the thing like you hate it to get it to move. the thing i like about domestic dinosoaurs is that you have a lot of useable power all the time. i mean really it comes down to a matter of personal prefrance, *I* like bigger engines, but hey thats just me. i will say this though, the mustang GT has 20 more hp and costs a few grand less than the S2000. but hey whatever floats your boat;)

id also like to add that im not totaly biased, frankly if i had the money id sell my mustang and buy a BMW M3 in a heartbeat....damn those are sweet little cars, handle like there on rails too...ooooooooo*sploge* ah well, mabey someday when im rich and i turn into a total asshole :D

yeah, stock mustangs suck, but like anything they can be hooked up. my buddy was gonna sell his built up 97 cobra cheap, I would have bought that. he hung with a ZO6 vette without the 80 shot :) so figure low 12's on the spray.

but I wouldn't spend a lot of money for one, unless I had cash to burn, then I'd get the '03 cobra.

now a C5 Vette, I'd pimp that domestic :cool:

yeah, the 03' cobra is the only mustang id get if i ever felt like geting another...but a C5 vette...mmmmmmm, damn those are sweet! i got a ride in one when they first came out back in 96(my moms cousin has one) it was cool...id love to own a corvette one day....ANY year vette will do. see this is why i need to be a rich yuppie asshole, they get all the cool toys :(...bastards! :mad: :D

Oh yes i totally agree! 333 hp to start with and they drive so Nice!!. you know you can get like a 99 m3 with the old skool style head lights real cheap if your in it for proformance.
