Raced an RSX type S and he did the obligatory fly by

6 o'clock in the evening I came across an RSX that by the sound of it had exhaust and intake. I loved how it sounded. He is exiting the driveway of a movie theater and does his best to catch up to me as I passed by. I let him get next to me and we exchanged looks as he paced me. As I expected he downshifted and hit it, with the road clear ahead of us the poor guy comenced to admire the tail light assembly of a 92 9000 Saab turbo. At the top of 3rd and 2-3 cars ahead I shut it off and sure enough here comes speedracer in all his glory blowing by me. I don't understand this fenomenon can someone clearify it for me please?
The guy didn't even glance my way, looking straight ahead and soon made a right turn at the next light.
I don't know, If a guy runs with me at the end of it I usualy have some conversation in mind.
