Viggens are very nice, they have excellent pull at highway speeds in stock form.

I ran a 14.7 @ 101 while stock, and a best so far 13.32 @ 112.

I am picking up the car tomorrow and will have to see what she does now, we needed a head gaskett so we played while the motor was open. :D

Thanks guys, I just got back from Atascadero (I live in LA) where the car was receiving a cylinder head port and polish along with an upgrade to the turbo. I take the car to SPG9 which is a high performance shop for Saabs.

We did the following.
trimmed the turbo, added a 20 psi waste gate actuator, 15 degree clip on exhaust wheel, bronzed the guides, 16 degree angle grind valve, single cutter. Blended port into seat & combustion chamber. Removed rear screen on air mass meter. Removed throttle heater, removed air deflector on intake manifold.

I don't know how to post pictures, ( I am not a computer geek :D )if someone can do it I'll be gladd to e-mail them to you.

that one you posted a link to is nice too, they've gotten a more aggresive look to them now, while the older ones are a little blah, stock anyway.

Thanks again man, that's very cool of ya to post them. funny the older ones are favored by the Saab enthusiast, Saab owners are a close-knit group. They have to be, otherwise the Saab mystique would consume them. "Saab mystique"? That translates to the machine's quirks, lack of information and expensive dealer repairs. :eek:

Can you say, "It has that certain 'Je ne sais quois'"? Other than that, the 5-doors will haul an incredible amount of stuff. They're all solid and safe. The turbos offer exhilarating performance with excellent gas mileage. They're all very comfortable. They're great "long-road" cars. But in the end, it still comes down to: "It has that certain 'Je ne sais quois'", which, translated, means, "DAMN, this car feels good!".

You are dead on. The sleeper factor is very important to me. The new 9-3 will start at 25k with a top of the line model at 33k.
The 300hp Aero :p is rumored to have awd and will be out later on.
