yeah baby, score one for the '91 accord with 165,000 miles :D

it was raining when I went out, so I took the car with a/c (the accord). so I'm coming home (pretty dry now) and I'm waiting at the light next to a V6 camaro, I kill the a/c in case he wants to run.

so the light turns green, I start kinda quick but he didn't, so I proceeded to drive normal. as soon as I get into 3rd at about 35mph, I realize the guy punched it (don't know if it was auto or manual, had the windows up and radio on), so I drop back to 2nd and proceed to walk the guy  I was cracking up, by the end of 3rd at about 85-90 I had a whole car and a half on him, LOL, then I just had to hit the hazards.

not bad for a '91 accord manual with 165,000 miles and a k&n filter on the stock intake hose :)

lucky for him I wasn't in the crx  he would have really gotten killed then :D

Why would he lie. He can always use the excuse "Yea but I was in my slow car." He has a fast CRX why would he lie if he got beat in his beater.

Then what year camaro? I could beleive a 3rd gen secratery special. I have a hard time beleiving that a 91 Accord with 165k miles on it "walked" a 94 or better 3.8 v6 Camaro. I know they are slow but honestly.

he said it was raining....an accord front wheel drive...even if he punches it he will have close to no wheel spin....the camaro, rear wheel drive, moron of a driver punches it and cant hook up on the WET pavement... makes sence to me...

1) he was coming home and said it was dry

2) he is a moron for doing 85-90 on wet pavement in the firstplace.

just common sense.

That is pretty creative.. Calling me gay.. bet noone has ever thought of that before. I hope your support group doesn't get upset that you are using that name to insult me. Your buddies might get insulted.

Either case, wasn't smart. 90 mph on wet pavement. Doesn't matter if you were a stunta driver for fast and furious, you can't expect good control in those condidtions. I bet candyman knows that too.

Candyman was there any traction loss from the camaro? I am sure you would have heard the tires spin.

it was a 4th gen, and like I said, he didn't go right away, so we ended up running from a 40mph roll, and it was probably auto, since I never saw it bob when shifting.

and the road may not have been bone dry, but it hadn't rained for hours and the road I was on is dead straight and no side streets that someone could have turned in front of me.

I don't doubt that you know hondas and such. I also am not entirely against your beating him. I just think you are exagerating a bit much.

yeah, candymans accord is actually running really well for being around the world a few times. it should run around a respectable 16.o in the qtr. not too shabby :)

what did I say from my original post? I beat him by a car and a half at 85-90mph. so that's only about a 1/10th of a second difference in the quarter mile (since my accord traps at around 85mph).

now if I posted saying we ran from a dead stop, and then I caught up to him, then passed him, and ended up with a car and a half, that would be exagerating.

SOrry man, when I read it, I didn't see the car and a half. I saw the " and proceed to walk the guy " comment.

If it makes you feel any better, I got a fly by from a v6 camaro ( he ended up doing 70 in a 30) after I shut down a few car lengths ahead of him.

Hung who will probabably buy a t top 4th gen V6 Fbody and turbo it someday for fun.
