type r supercharged vs. 99+ cobra

tonite i was at a red light turning and this mustang was behind me so the light turns green and we turn and he guns it. The light in front of us turns red so we line up. Light turns green and we both go, we both spin and hook up the same time, i hooked up right when vtec kicked in so i got a car on him real quick. By the end of 2nd i had 2 cars on him. we raced to around 100 or so and i had about 3 cars. The light in front of us turns red so we line up again and he gives me props on beating him and then he turns off

He wasnt like all the other V8 people who get mad and fly by

i only had the JRSC aem and comptech exhaust in the pics. I got a DC 4-1 header, plugs and wires and some minor looks to the outside but now im waiting for my V-AFC to get here

what you run? how you like the jrsc?
i know this dude who has one, along with every bolton, pistons , electronics and tuning out the assand nos and i run faster than he does and i really dont have nearly as much done as him , , , he struggles for 12.9's on slicks . im really not impressed with them from the ones i have driven . I would have went turbo .

i dont know what i run but im not going to do a supercharger on anymore cars i get. If you ever decide to get a S/C get a hondata or something to tune your car real well. I guess after i get this V-AFC that my car will get a lot more power cause i guess R's need a lot of gas. I shoulda went all motor but i like the power off the line with the S/C

actually R's have too muc fuel from the factory, the object of the vafc is to lean it out .
i have seen 10 hp to the wheels already frmo them . . . .me supercharger , hell no . i would never waste the money. i just listen to the peoples storie who do .
im a juicer and soon to be boosted and bottlfed :p

the JRSC is good, got my buddy's '00 Si to a 13.9 @ 101 on street tires with the 6psi kit with intake, cat-back, and the msd boost retard.

the instant power especially helped his car, but if you want to go above 10psi, you run out of power from the JRSC, but with turbo..... :D :D :D boost away!

im still not sure as to weather or not i actually belive this..i suppose its posible.hmmmmm, oh well i wont flame you...and as far the whole supercharger thing most of us domestic guys chose em cuz there easier to install than a turbo charger and tend to give us just as much(some times even more) power as a turbo for less money...its also older technology so its easier to tune, plus with a supercharger you dont get turbo lag since it runs off engine power rather than exaust gasses..although the disadvantage to a supercharger is that it diminishes the life of your engine somwhat, but hey if you hevily modify a car your gonna have to do an engine rebuild at some point right?..well what ever, i just thought id offer my 2 cents. :p

a integra type r with a supercharger will run low 13's, fast enough to beat a stock (non '03 ;) ) cobra.
