short shifter

does anyone know the what the advantages of a short shifter kit are?

you have "shorter shifts" therfore quicker shifts...advantage you..

yeah, it'll make the throw distance shorter. so 1st to 2nd would only be about half the distance that it is now, so it let's you go to the next gear quicker.
