man this sucks! i woke up dis morning to find my driver side window busted to peices :mad:

they went in there with nothin and came out with a tach/shifting light. :mad:

do you guys out the have your own theft stories? what did you do? how did you solve it? what kinda alrams are good but afordable?

and lastly what would you do if you found out who it was.....i just want to make sure i am not a bad person :D

unfortunatly, solving it won't be that easy. :( have the cops dusted the car yet? you really should file a report in case you're not the only one that got hit last night or this week. all i can say about finding the guy yourself, heh, if you do; i hope he has a good dental plan. :D but i'm not encouraging violence ;)...

Oh I have stories:
My car has been broken into 3 times, and stolen once. Assholes put 1000 miles on it in a week and left it unlocked down town someplace. :mad:

I picked up my Python Alarm for around $150.00, and did the install myself, I made sure that all the wires, etc are hard to get to, and I hooked up some special items to make the car basically impossible to get, meaning that it will not start even if they rip out the alarm brain.

There are a lot of little things I use to do, the last time the car was broken into they attempted to take the car but you cant take a car that wont start (took out the coil wire to the distributor).

that sucks man.....if i was you and i found them, i would take my tach back and beat them over the head with the tach untiul the tach was in a million peices and then...give the tach back to the theive. and say "you want the tach so much you had to break my shit"? *beats robber on head untuil blood is drawn and tach is broken* and then say "well i wanted the tach to so i had to break something to get it."

or something to that effect.

purchase an alarm with a "chirp" feature. the alarm will chirp louder and faster as someone gets closer to your car. then go buy a paintball gun for $150.00 and a box of 1000 paintballs. freeze one bag of balls and keep the bag open in your freezer. then when the fuckers come quietly go to your freezer, load the balls in and run outside and blast the son of a bitches!

i got that alarm from club si when some dude was getting jacked. he also used paintballs on them. he got 2 of them but then they jetted off. you should look around and look at viper (99% they have chirp feature). hope that helps.

i wouldnt know why you or anyone would go w/o an alarm if you have mods or upgrades...or just even a stock gsr, itr, si, etc. I had an alarm and i woke up to both of my windows busted. driver and passenger side at once. Guys didnt take anything cause my alarm went off, but i was left w/ broken windows, no witnesses, glass all over the driveway, and a $250 deductable that i had to pay! Pissed it happened but theres nothing i can do about it

if the car is parked at your house and you're there at the time, then the alarm might save the car or the stuff inside. but when your in the stolen car capital of the US, then if the theif wants your car, it's gone no matter what.

for me, I would only get an alarm for the conveniece options like unlocking doors and rolling down windows, plus the insurance discount you get. but since my car is power nothing, I've never bothered to get an alarm, but I might get one down the road for the insurance break.
