Finally ran the beast at Atco this weekend :)

Well i finally got the car out , even thugh the tune got messed up and running rich as hell /
I was pretty imprssed with it , i managed to pull a 12.8 @108 and change on the 1st run with the car, it was at a little under 8psi and pulled 1.9 60ft. . . . . oh yea forgot to mention , street tires
It did get quite a bit of wheel hop cuz i went off the 2 step , but it pulled very nice when it got traction.
i upped the boost to about 9-10 or so and it felt like a 12.40-12.50 run but i let off it at 1/2 track . too much wheel hop off the line causaed the axle t pull out a little i tihnk and the car was vibratin like hell over 100mph so i let off. Im pretty impressed with it being out of tune and on stock internals , Im glad i got a chance to run it before the motor comes out .Ill post pics of the slip and a vid clip of the run later.

yea next time out im looking for 11's on street tires, possibly low 11's or better on slicks. ill deff have the power to do it , just taction is the issue .

yea i got all kinds of **** like that for traction , but if you dont launch certain tires at a certain rpm they will bounce i launched em too low and too hard, the ****ing axle pulled ou from the tranny a little and the car started shaking tuff at like 100+mph, i let off almost 1/2 track i coulda prob got a 12.40-50 out of her that run . ahh well next time .

That day suckedthough, track conditions sucked.
oh yea i found out i ran those runs on not only broken axles , on street tires, low boost, but with broken ring lands, and severe blowby, lol., the things you find out when your motor is apart, it still felt ok kinda to me. lol

I took mine out to the track a few weeks ago, did two thing. Stripped out the Spiders in my stock differential, and shattered the hubs on a set of Gator Racing Stage 3 Axles. I got the whole thing on video, you can see the sparks, shrap metal, me push it off the track, and I also got video of the car on the Tow Truck. Not too bad though, Gator replaced the Axles for free, including the labor, and it made room for my Quaife LSD which feels real nice <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::p--> Hoping to run again soon, but a little scared to break something else.

you dont ned power to break axles, its traction that breaks axles.
i have seen axles break on 16.5 sec civuics already.

So who knows, I am just relaxing on it for now.
