View Full Version : Killed Sentra SE-R Spec-V

today while I was on my way to my girls house, I got hit up by a Nissan sentra SE-R Spec-V. Last nite I had just put in my Injen CAI, and I got my short shifter since I got the car. So at the light we went at it... I killed that car by at least a good 3-4 car lengths. now that ish was funny. come on now.. its a 2.5 liter motor that is supposed to get me off the line?? that didnt even happen. haha. those are wack ass cars. the only good cars from Nissan are the Z's, Silvia's, and 180SX's. but their SE-R suck. cant wait to give my new intake a whirl at a GSR. haha. that would be more of a challenge.

so u think u would have lost if you didn't had the short shifter and the Injen CAI?? and you said you killed it by 3-4 cars?? man that intake must of made a BIGGG difference because those sentras can drag a v-tec's azz. i have seen it in action.

i dunno man im not a nissan guy, but i hav seen spec V;s with just cold air and header do 165 to the wheels and like 160 tq, they arent bad at all .
BTW, i thought ZC's wre twin cams?

Not all ZC's are DOHC's. mine is actually a SOHC ZC motor. my intake did make a difference. so does my short shifter and my driving. more so my driving. lots of guys cant get me off the line, even if they have more torque. and yes I do know that SE-R's make around 150-160 at the wheels. but you are talking about a heavy car, with a 2.5 liter motor, and some 17 inch stock rims. compared to my CRX Si, that weighs a little over 2200 with driver, and SOHC ZC motor. my motor is rated at 120 hp. if I didnt have the intake or short shifter, I would have won, but only by a lil bit. the only difference is that I am good driver. that made the difference.

He's is probably right but dunno. Maybe if it was a bad driver, those spec v's dont run consistent times either. I have beat one with my itake and exhaust. The spec v had a cai and a rear section but thats it. I beat it by like 2 cars and this guy could drive pretty good.
