4 second quarter mile street car

oh yeah did anybody heard of the street car that through up 4 seconds flat in a quarter mile?? i saw an article on it somewhere but i can't remember. i do remember that they were sayin something about a civic, or an celica or some type of street car startin with a "c" with a turbo charged jet pack engine that they put in the trunk of the car, and it was rwd or something.....i'm really confused...

seriously no car running those speeds is going to be street legal dude. COME ON USE YOUR HEAD. Have you ever seen a funny car that runs a high 4 ETs at over 300 MPH. If so you know what I am talking about, I seriously need not explain any of this. Also, a friggen turbine powered car I am sure is streetable, don't worry about the 20-30 foot incinerating flames you shoot on initial acceleration. I am sure that poses no threat to any car/person on the road. And of course braking with parachuets is street legal too now, and so is being able to only drive in a straight line. As well as the 3 foot wide slicks they run in back and the skinnies in front. Of course all street legal.

not to mention they burn damn near the entire fuel cell's worth of fuel on one run. Even at idle the injectors pump an insane amount of fuel. And unless you've got 5 drums of nitro-methan or friggen jet fuel the turbines burn your not going to be going anywhere.

yup they are running around a 5 second ET at what 315-330ish or something like that, been awhile since I've watched an NHRA event. And the class John Force runs which if funny cars if I remember correctly are running a little faster ETs like 4.9s but trap lower.

actually u can have a jet powered car thats rwd. all ud have to do it put a shaft going from the impeller to the rear-end. they actually made cars that were powered by turbines. saw it on My Classic Car <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif" alt="Cool" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::cool:-->. but 4sec???? i dont think so, its possible but not street legal. there would have to be some kind of plate mounted on the track so the jets thrust would hit that and move the car. later

no, but im in the process of getting one, im either gonna build the engine with all new parts or just go to a junk yard, pick one up and rebuild it myself. im on a small budget, but people have done complete swaps for $1500. for right now i have to pay off my 4-wheeler....later
