Hi
I'm going to test my GSR in 1/4 but I need some advice like:
Rev to launch? Rev to shift? etc etc.

PS
2000 GSR I/h/e

Thanks

the start really depends on your car. when I had some crappy little stock rims and tires on my car, I just punched it in 1st to spin, so I would bog it down really low. but when I had the 16's or 18's on, it had a lot more grip, so I would launch at a higher rpm. the best way is to go out to a empty area, then practice launching, and the shift from 1st to 2nd, that's the hardest part of the 1/4 mile.

I would find the lowest rpm where you can just dump the clutch, and when the tires stop spinning, the car doesn't bog, but takes off. so if at 5k rpms, it just spins, revs up and doesn't grab, go lower. if at 3k, it spins a little, then bogs, go higher.

for a gs-r, just shift and redline, it pulls all the way to redline, and your mods should help even more up top.

let us know how you do, post up some timeslips after you run :)
