View Full Version : Most HORRIFIC night I've ever been witness to...

I decided to come home from my university yesterday night to chill with some of my boys out in Yonkers, NY. I came home to chill as usual and hang out at the local spot where everyone gathers at with their cars and shit. As I rolled up with my friends into the parking lot, I saw a huge crowd, which is typical out there on Thursday nights. The ricers there usually do burnouts and stupid shit like that whereas most of the people I know are more laid back in the parking lot and usually just chat about cars and other related stuff. People also set up runs in the parking lot before everyone heads out so people know who is running who and where they'll run.

Well we then proceeded out of the huge lot after the cops kicked everyone and their mother out. We hit up another parking lot around one of the local highways and chilled there for a bit while my boys set up some friendly runs between eachother. 2 of my friends proceeded onto the highway (which wasnt packed at the time) and ran for about a 1/2 mile run. The run was clean...no cars, no cops, and no turns on the highway. After the run, we go back to the spot that everyone migrated to after the cops kicked us out from the first one and chill there for a few minutes. We notice that a few ricers leave the parking lot and decide to go run on the highway. I remember seeing two of the cars that left the parking lot later on.....One of them was a Green 1996-1997 Subaru Impreza (stock) and the other was a Gray 1992-1993 Integra GS with a body kit. 4 other cars had left the parking lot along with them. This is when the night got hectic...

A few minutes later, about 5-6 minutes, one of my friends gets a call that there was an accident on the highway. We didnt think that it had been the kids who left the parking lot to run, so that was that. But soon thereafter, we realized that the kids said they were going to run around a certain exit on the highway, so that clicked in my mind when I heard there had been an accident around that spot. I was thinking to myself, "It has to be the ricers who just left". Well yea, I guess I was right. We drove by where the guys said they were going to race, only to find a bloody mess. A few kids flew out the windshield of the cars. 2 were dead, others were bloody, it was NOT pretty sight. The story sounds bad but if you guys were there, it would hit you right in the heart and give you a really bad feeling (if it already doesnt by just reading this). I took some video of the scene so you guys could have a feeling of what it was like to be there. I saw a with a sheet over him. The sheet was bloody and his feet were sticking out from under the sheet. The paramedic was in NO RUSH while they were rolling the guy on the strecher to the back of the ambulance, which meant he was dead and they couldnt do anything to save him, so they took their time with him. I saw a few other paramedics trying to 'jumpstart' another guy's heart while he was being carted on the stretcher to another ambulance. They were also pumping air into him and it was the most fucked up crash site I have ever been at to this day, and hopefully the last...Another thing...the crash was believed to be caused by the Subaru and then it got worse from there. While one car crashed into the wall, a Honda was coming 100mph, driving out of control, and hit one of the cars that already had crashed into the wall. When I got to the scene, the paramedics were pulling a guy out from inbetween the car and the wall, obviously because he was trapped between them. One word...HORRIBLE

As I said before, I have some video of the scene and I will post it up on Sunday. Im not here to blame anyone who races on the highway or whatever because I drive fast on the highway but one thing is to drive fast, the other is to drive wreckless...which I DO NOT do. I hope this teaches a lesson to some of you guys if you drive wreckless or whatever. Take it easy guys, Peace.

if you want to live the life, you must be ready to deal with terrible consquesces. you may be thinking this, and it is true, but what you may not be thinking about is the innocent people you put at risk as well. i'm not saying no one should race again. lets just use our better judgment out there, okay?

oh, and BTW the spelling you're looking for is "reckless" ;)

wow I am speechless. I really can't put into words how bad I feel. My thoughts and prayers will be with those killed and their family/friends. Even though I have no idea who they are, its still really sad.

yeah wreckless and I live right next to each other. We actually did up untill I moved a few weeks back, now its more like 5 minutes away. As far as Gratiot goes, I think it sucks. You can't park anywhere without getting a ticket. And its all rice or Mustangs and Z28s. I prefer Woodward, much better mix of cars and you can actually park somewhere without getting a ticket.

Condolences to the family. This is also a wakeup call to the friends of the ones who died. It teaches u to use your head and think twice before u do something. 2 years ago a friend of ours Brian also passed away in such an accident. Its sad to receive news like that

no I don't but you wouldn't happen to know a kid named Simon with a silver Civic 2 door. His car is really well done, headers, intake, exhaust, he's got a nice pair black rims too, Konis and springs I believe.

yea I know where DPA is. One of my boys lives out there in Huntington so I go to DPA sometimes but nothing is better than Hunts Point (where Im from) in the Bx. The drags are sick there.

To the guy who was asking where my video of the crash was. Go to my website http://remus.vwmafia.net and go to the 'RUNS' page. Go towards the bottom and youll see a video that says somethin about the crash. Peace

I went to the Woodward Dream Cruise either this year or last year (forgot...) and might be going to the next one... and in fact, might be driving the TTA up there. Bad thing is, I heard if you do a burn out, you'll get a ticket. =( Kinda hard to leave the line with lotsa power and NOT do one. Anyways... peace...

if that Talon is completely stock and its a 2G thats not really that fast/good at all seeing as they run a 15.1 in the 1/4.
