View Full Version : Are there a lot of street races where you are?

JUst wondering. I get the opportunity to street race all the time out here. It's like men feel they have to show a girl what's up. Anyway, Last night some guy tried to race. But he never pulled on me. He possibly had a motor swap, couldn't tell for sure. So, i was always right there. But he never races like we should. He would never give me room to get over beside him. He thought he was cool.

It's a little too scary out here to race. That is why I go to the track. you get f#!*ed up if you get caught out here.

Yea from what I understand Maryland is the same way...I haven't been caught yet,but everyone tells me they don't play.And the track is only 15 bucks,Why risk it...you know what I mean,just aint worth losing your car over.

have you guys heard what happened a couple of months ago at irwindale? they have the street legal drags and some kid spit some sunflower seeds or something at another guys car, and he pulled a gun and shot him up! no joke, but here in cali its really bad, my neighbor is a cop and they impound over 50 cars per week in the ontario california area alone! the other night i was coming back from the dyno with my race car in the trailer, and i seen two sets of headlights in front of me, i was like oh no, sure enough on the other side of the road was a car, and it flashed its lights and they were off, all i could think about was crap i was following these kids, and all i need is for a cop to come by, and boom i would be in so much trouble, here its just as illigal to watch as it is to race! so im picturing the cop pulling me over and looking in the trailer...well it didnt happen. thank god.

I can see why though Krome Ave. would be a really good place for street racing! For real, some spots it's desolate! Good spot. Rich, i'll show it to you when u get a new ride ;)

drag race spectating, yeah, been there, done that. fortunately that was before the new drag racing laws, so it was just a $40 fine.

YES! *raises hand* My name is Tim, I am a recovering street racer :-) Is this SRA "Street Racers Anonymous" I have two arrests for street racing, and those were both in California. Now in Florida, it is much more relaxed, but starting October 1st they have had tougher punishments if you get caught. More Jail Time, more fines. HOWEVER! You can still most likely catch me this Saturday night at the Sonics on International Drive after the hatch gets Dynoed. From there it is off to La Fiebre. Come and see what the fuss is about! :-) STREET RACERS FOR LIFE!!

dude...here in the san diego county...if you get caught even spectating at the street races, you could get 6 months jail time, lose your license, car impounded for 3 months and a huge ass fine. they just passed the law not too long ago...its fuckin crazy. and like 3 weeks ago on a main road by me...this was in the news, the cops gave 350 speeding tickets in one day on that road. im tellin ya...the laws and cops here suck.

i will never ever even get near those illegal street races again.

Of course I will post up pics of the Dyno results. Hopefully all will go well, and we can get it in there. I can't wait to get this thing running right. It feels Extremely fast now, but I am sure that after the Dyno, it will be even better. Pulls REALLY hard! :-)

Ok, Im a bit late in this subject, but I think it is nice to feel the rush when u are street racing. Chrome was just bad luck for me. Gotten into many tickets, warnings, trespass warnings and locked up for raging and racing the shit out of that rented brand new 600 miles on odometer s2000.
