you should be abel to get one for 250, might even be abel to get a re-manufactured clutch for cheaper...prob is instalation. are you going to do it your self? if so its not that hard, just takes a lot of time. plus you have to take the flywheel somewhere to get it resurfaced and make sure you have either a lift, garage pit or jackstands. DONT use normal tire jacks. you COULD get away with it if you use enough of em but its just not safe. you dont want 2400 pounds of del sol on you . make sure you do it with an experianced person too....

heres a kit for 260

i dunno man, shop around a little, do a search on google and see what comes up. also pick up a haynes manual while your at it. an if your still lost, borrow some money and be prepared to shell out 500-700 bucks to have a pro do it. but i think since money is an issue for you it might just be better to attempt it yourself, good luck

P.S> dont drive around on that thing, you WILL get stranded, the slipping is only gonna get worse untill theres no friction left and the car is undrivable.

I have a haynes but all i am worried about is time. I work alot so i dont have time to put in a clutch. unless it doesnt require alot of work. My friend burned me out on working on cars. taking out his tranny. but i guess i have no choice but to do it my self because i cant spend 300-500 dollars to get it put in. I can do it my self so i guess i will.

yeah your easialy looking at $500 to get that done, prob more like 700ish from most places. lots of work involved. its a FWD, which is harder to do then a RWD cluch, cuz on a RWD you just drop the tranny a little and pull it out. plus youve got a hydrolic clutch pettle and not a simple cabel one, so you have to bleed that, and like i said you have to pay someone to resurface the flywheel. its an all day job at a shop, like 6-8 hours. so im sure it will take you a few days to get it all back together. now i like working on cars, but this is a preaty big job, and to me it just isnt worth my time to do it. id rather pay someone to do it faster, better, and most importantly right if i were you id borrow some $ from your folks. but hey, you might be abel to prolong its life by going easy on the car. you could streatch it out a few more weeks.....although if i were you id do it ASAP. good luck man.....

Someone apparently has ever done a clutch on a FWD car. ME and my friend brad did a FWD in a day. All you have to do it jack the car up out the front on jack stands. Support the motor and trans with 2 floor jacks. TAke out the cross member. Take out the trans mount and same side motor mount. Allow the left side of the motor to drop dwon some while still being supported by the jack. Unbolt the transmisson. TAke it all out. Machine the FLywheel and put in the new clutch. Much "LESS" work is needed to do a FWD clutch. You have to lift a RWD car to do a clutch. Once again Freaktimmach gay guy is talking about crap he has no clue of.

Oh ands yeas its not just doing all of that. There is a lot more disconnecting of things than just what i typed. But it is much easier than a RWD you can do it yourself without a lift.

your right, i havent gone solo on a job like that yet(ie ive assited others), but ive helped my friend work on his 91 CRX si enough to know that somthing that sounds rather easy can be very time consuming, especialy if you dont have access to the right tools and are on a limited budget. we took the tranny out of his car and let me tell you, it was a bitch not having a good socet set, we had to stop after a while and come back to it later cuz we couldnt get out the last six bolts. if your on a limited budget, dont have the right tools, and limited experiance working on cars, its a big job to attempt. that was my point, and hey buddy if im wrong correct me, but theres no need to be a dick about it start showing people around here a little more respect and well all respect you a lot more. it sounds like you do actually have something worthwhile to contribute here, so just chill out a little and well gladly welcome you to clubhonda.

I have a full craftsman set and had everything i needed so it wasnt hard at all. But if you dont have everything dont even think about it. Sorry TIkemah been a long week.
