Sup! new to this forum & was poking around under delsol only & was suprised 2 c a bunch of people who don't own a delsol yet talk like they're experts & have been given out miss. info. 1st, a sol wieghs more than a civic hatchback & less than a coup, how does that make it heavy?? 2nd 1.6 dohc vtec is almost the same as the gsr except the gsr has a longer stroke thus 1.8(& a few others not worth mentioning), the b16a flows much better than a gsr(were do you think the vtec in ls/vtec or b20 comes from). so the b16 is like a stroked gsr. On light to light it can't be touched(check the 0to60 times). on highway the gsr & prelude take it at top end. any other civic....no chance. of corse your talking same level of mods(rufly).at the time of the delsols it was the most powerful engine sold in the US....HOld it, read on.....the delsol vtec was the first car to make 100hp/liter,period,until the US type R. To who ever thinks that insurence is so much higher on the delsol, you need to look at your situations more objectively and if that doesn't work then get a clue, find a insurance co. that classifies a sports car by the engine(never seen one that didn't) not the number of doors. before some says something stupid, i have had my sol since 97 and have paid less than my SUV for insurence and never once has it been classified as a sports car or has a insurance co.even looked a my car to see that it is a sports car. <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::p-->

3rd gen RX-7, 255 HP and 1.3 liters. Roughly 190 HP per liter......

but a properly tuned/set-up Del Sol makes for one hell of a auto-x/track car.

rotarys don't count cause they always rule! I heard that they were first designed as a f/i unit and it flopped then some else encorporated it into an engine, just a little hersay.

i'm running a greddy si kit. pretty much stock set up as for the engine at 5psi but she runs real nice. i got a 13.6 on the street with the gtech.

that sol is tight. since i havent heard anything about my stolen 88 rex ZC, im looking into buying a sol. i got a gsr motor in my guarage(new to hondas so i dont know the engine numbers...b16, h22 etc...). does anyone know if that would bolt right into a 94 sol????( oh sorry, but i do know what the H22 and the B16 are)

hey, a friend has a sol with the gsr and he says that the top of the motor will hit the hood and dent it from the inside. he says you can't see the dent on the out side. other wise it should bolt right in, same size engine(bore). <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::)-->
