More CRX leakage: Hatch

My Rex leaks bad now. When I first got it, it did not leak noticably. Then last few months I could see water leaking where the two pumps that hold the hatch up (and those don't even work; I'd rather use my stick than pay 60bux for a pair at the current moment)

And last time 2 months ago it rained for like 2 weeks straight and my car filled with water it just slid around in there, it was massive. I still have water in there now :(

I looked at the seals and they look good, I don't know how but they just leak through where those pump things screw in. Help me someone. please thanks

Drill a whole in the bottom of the car where the water is going :D

No really, it could be the rain channels from the sunroof, or it could be leaking in from the rear tall lights....might just have to rip it all a part and Silly-con everything.

how tight does your hatch shut ?
do you need to adjust the latch a bit to draw the hatch down ?

lol. ok, my left tailight is halfway filled with water. I will drain it when I get it running again (when i buy a motor) The hatch closes pretty tight I guess. I will list every place it leaks
1. sunroof
2. left driver door from top or both
3. tailights
4. hatch, from hydrolic pumps

i think thats it, i will take pics with the digicam tomorrow. is it me or the crx's are plagued with leaks? thanks

that's weird, my crx leaked in the rear left tail light too. I'm sure there's design flaws in the crx, plus it's over 10 years old. on my tail light, I didn't get around to fixing it, but it seem like it was the gasket behind the tail light that was causing some of the problem. also, the tail light itself seemed to be leaking where the seam is where the two pieces of the tail light go together, I was gonna silicon that up to try and fix it.

it never rains there , and THIS is supposed to be your rainy season , lol , oh well at least i have G R A S S in my yard ..........lmao :D

if you figure out which seals are bad, let me know, i was sending the stuff off the holley crx to candyman, but we all know that story, i still have some stuff around, and that stuff is just weight to me,

Hey thanks 9seccivic. I have not inspected the doors closely, but I am pretty sure I would need definatly the sunroof seal, the doors and the hatch. I will find something to do with the light. Let me know how much you will be letting it go for. Thanks again.

well my x was a hf so i dont have a sunroof seal, but anything you need is free, otherwise it goes in da trash..
