Short shifter

How hard is it to install a short shifter, and how do you do it? I know it has to be done from the bottom of the car, and that's what sucks.

yes I would like to know also. I am thinking about buying one, I heard you can install it in minutes, but i don't know. Also, would there be a noticable difference from the 40-50% quicker shifts? Thanx.

its suposed to be really easy on a FWD car, and yes there is a big diff with a short throw :p

It is real simple, the only hard part is getting under the car. EASY with a lift, or a nice jack set. It is basically a few bolts, and need to be pulled from the undercarriage, and the unit drops out. Then the Shiftlinkage has a few more bolts connecting it to the tranny. You may or may not need to pull those depending on the application. All 10mm and 12mm bolt stuff, and is more time consuming that brain stimulating. Have fun!

Don't forget that the exhaust needs to be unbolted from the cat cause its in the way.
