i have been offered a 99 dx coupe motor for a swap. will this just fit directly in, or will i have to change mounts, all that ****? it was offered for 500. good, bad, or what?

why would you put a dx in your car, it has 107hp, look around for a zc motor or ex motor if you dont have the $ for a b16 or b18

but you should build whatever fits your budget. Keep in mind two things...part available for each car, and upgrade prices. I think $500 is kind of high for a low end non-race motor, when you can move up to a better platform for $500 more. But if that is all you can afford, then rool with that.
