Lost against a vr6 corrado

Last night I was at a stoplight when a vw corrado pulled up next to me. It was cold so there is no opening windows and talking about racing. He was reving his engine a bit and I could hear it was a vr6. At green we both punched it. 1st, 2nd gear I was right next to him, 3rd he started pulling on me and about 3 or 4 cars at the end of 4th. Here the vr6 corrado's come with a 2.9l 200hp instead of the US version 2.8l. He had for sure some mods done to his engine. Well, at least I can share a lost, something that not everyone does on this site. Most of the stories are always the winning stories. I guess we all lose at one point in time!

Hey i think thats cool. I just like to race its quite fun. i raced in my dads old truck last night haha. i won believe it or not. all these hot shot chevys cant deal with the old clanky ford.i lost to a big turbo diesel. Man those things got some Power.

I am in the process of finding a b16 for my CRX and I just finished my Corrado G60 --> VR6 conversion. Wanna run? ;) j/k

is your corrado a 2.8 or 2.9? Here they come 2.9 all wheel drive vr6. They got some good power. I raced a golf vr6 and I did win that race so Im faster than the 2.8l those vw have.

Whats up dude. I have a 2.8l VR6 but my car came with a 1.8l supercharged 4 banger. Anyway, I know the Euro VR Corrados came 2.9 and with more power but they didnt come AWD unless he has a syncro for it. I know of one guy from Connecticut that I hang with sometimes that has a rallye golf VR6 (swap of course). The rallye golfs only came out in Europe and came AWD with a G60 motor (like my Corrado originally had) but this guy swapped a VR6 into it. Someone imported it and he bought it off the dude. The car is pretty quick but I have yet to see it run at the track or get any times at the moment.

Uhm, yes the corradodo come awd here with syncro ofcourse, forgot to mention that. I had a friend in Miami with a g60 supercharged but it wasn't as fast as my prelude back then. He had the basic exhaust and intake. Im sure u can make them run. I personally don't like golfs and corrado's but the ones with the vr6 engine make good power, and so, I have respect for them
