Most of you know my accord got wrecked months ago, well now that the '03 Accords are out should i fix my accord up and make it look off the chain or trade it in and get the '03 Accords. The 240hp 6spd is ognna run about 25k so i dont know if its worth it. Should i fix the accord to look similar to the pics below or go for the '03 Accord
now:

A new accord is going to cost you mad loot, and u know eventually alot of people are going to have em, so its going to cost even more loot to hook it up to look different, so depending on how much money u got left to pay on the black beauty, i would probably rebuild Ole Blacky into something no one has seen before!! ;)

id go for a new car man, the damage is preaty extensive and if its gonna be a salvage title then it will be worth jack when you go to sell it. i think your best bet is to part it out, take whatever insurance money you got for it, and put all that towards a new car. the new accords are preatty sweet. i wouldnt mind having one myself

Is there any frame damage????????And I agrre with Freak,if it's a salvage title, you wont sell it for nuthin. But if you're gonna get decent money from the insurance company,it might be worth it to do some bodywork now, since everything has to be changed

i dont under stand somthing if you recived money to fix it why didnt you? a good body shop could have made it look like a brand new car again in a matter of weeks....why did you let it sit for all this time? it sounds to me like you want to keep this car, so get it fixed if you really want to, but personaly i think your better off starting a new project car and parting this one out/transfering parts. its your decision though so do what you want ;)

damn thats bull**** man :( well in that case i think your def better parting it out and geting a new car. cuz fixing that thing wont be cheap, especialy with the rear axle the way it is :( i dunno get an estimate before you decided what to do, but i dont think its worth fixing :(

I was up at the dealership looking at those new accords. The two door models look awesome, but I thought that the 240-hp model only came in an automatic. That is the one thing I don't like about my accord. This saturn coupe thought he was tough stuff today, I put him down but I could have really put him down in his place (Rolling up on me with a car made outta tide detergent bottles) if I had a manual rather than an auto. The hp that comes off of my v6 accord is about 185, the 2003 manual 4 cyl two doors come with 160 hp that is pretty impressive. Get the new car

Thats what I also say, fix it. Mark, remember when I didn't have my lude for 6 months because I couldn't get it to work... Well, when it was finally fixed, and I drove it again for the first time it was one of the best feeling I ever had for that car. Your love for it will grow back right away. If u have the cash to fix it, do so

i doubt that car will ever be what it was before, not after that kinda damage...if you are gonna fix it pay top dollar to a body shop and have them spend sometime fixing it. dont cheap out, it will show later, trust me. i still say your better off scraping it but whatever, its your car :p

I was coming off the highway that immediately turns left well the turn lane was green but after the turn there is an immediate light. Well after i came off of the ramp and made the left, the light was yellow so i decided to take it. The lady waiting to turn into my lane thought i was gonna stop so she pulled out in front of me. I hit the brakes and swirved to avoid her, Well as she hit me she sent me into the median i jumped the curve spun out then ended up facing head on traffic. Both cars were covered under the insurance but since my name was not on the policy they didnt cover my vehicle. SO IM F U C K E D! :( But since i still owe on the vehicle parting it out isnt beneficial to me cause i doubt ill get 9k from parting it out and the 9k is how much i owe in the vehicle.
How come your name is not on the policy? Too expensive? Now you know for next time that the expensive will be unpayable in situations like this. That sucks though man! Good luck with bringing it back alive! By the way, when will that be?

So... she hit you? Is florida a no fault state? Because it sounds like it was her fault. Unless you told them that you accelerated through the yellow light. Insurance is bull**** you pay them tons of money your entire life and never use the service, but you have to have it. You should get money back or something. Just a bit of interest if you don't use what your paying for.

well, even if you get an '03 LX I-4 5spd, ppl hav said it is just as fast as the old V6s. & they go for under $18K becuz they on sale. Honda trying to sell them for less than last year's LX price - Toyota was doing the same trick to the '02 Camry

Dude I'm so pumped your getting the car fixed. Post pics please, your car was the bomb.
Is it going to be turbo again? Please keep us posted. Made props to you do--I hope the car turns out great. FYI--if you have any overspray paint cleaning clay takes it right off. I had some on my car and the McGuires clay cleaned it write up.

i went and looked at my car couple of days ago at the shop <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif" alt="Frown" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::(--> WOW there is no windows anywhere on the car, no dash or center console, no headliner, the car is completely completely stripped!! Its all good though the suspension is all fixed now so all thats left is replace the passenger quarter panel and door and begin all the minor body work to get it prepped for the paint..

i dont like the way the car looks with the wing and stuff but those #'s are very very impressive..I saw the car this weekend and its having the 1/4 panel welded on and by the end of this week it will be ready for the paint shop. I wanna see them strip the old paint to the metal, it should be a cool sight to see.
