When I bought my 84 accord for $150, i knew that it would need some work. After two months, it runs good for 200000 miles. I didn't find out that the heater and blower didn't work until a week ago. It took me five hours to rip the dash apart and get the blower and heater out. The kid I bought it from had stuffed insulation in all of the vents, burning out the motor and heater. It cost $200 for a new motor and heater core, and over 15 hours to disassemble the entire vent system and unclog it. I now have a working heater and blower, but now I am overhauling my engine and wont have a chance to use it for a while! Advice: If the heater or blower goes in your car, just wear warm clothes! It is a bitch to replace.
(By the way, my car may be an 84, but the 16V 1.8L engine kicks 115 HP carburated! Wait till im done, i will have an offiial dyno report and pics. Gloss Black with purple off-tones/ White and Blue interior. [2500 Watt system] all for less than $2200)
I am doing it as I have the money, so it'll be a few months.
