I have an Accord 2.0i 12V '88 CA5 that I want to put a 16V engine into, I have seen this car delivered with this engine with 137hp, is this the same engine that is in a prelude '89?

anybody made this change before? is it possible?

yeah it possible to swap it. I dont know anyone with that has swpaped it but i believe those are the old lude motors...

Do you know what the engine codes are that you're looking for?

Also do you know how much your car weighs? If it's on the low side of 2700 lbs you should be able to swap in a b18 engine, just a thought.

I belive the code for 16v engine is B20A5 that came in the accord and 88-89 prelude, and prelude 90-91 B21A1, do this also fit? and do I have to change brakes and electric system ? my car have A20A3.

My car's weight is 1120kg, and B18 is 1.8l? what's the point with that?

There is two of these post, the other one in Performance. Oh well, I answered it at performance page. The B18 (1.8) is WAY better then are A20s we got, even though its a smaller engine. And its easier to put in a b16 and b18 then putting in a b20, if cost is a problem. Not many trannys bolt on the b20s from preludes. There are some Accords that have a B16 and B18 in their 3rd Gens. at www.3geez.com (http://www.3geez.com)

your car only weights 2469lbs!! a B18c1 (integra GSR) will more than work in your car that will surely turn more than one head.

Also I'm not so impressed with b20's too, here is my reason why...i raced my friend who's got a 88 prelude, granted it's an auto, i handily blew his ass out of the water and i didn't even have to try, and he's got a header and exhaust. just something to keep in mind. Oh yeah i've got a 93 accord ex 5 speed.

Okey, how many horsepower dos that engine have, and what do I need to do to convert?

I've got 122horsepower and want much more (200-250)
my thougt was to put in that 90 lude 16v engine on 140hp and put a turbo with intercooler on it, but if you guys have som other ideas, I'm open for suggestion...
