I agree with you accordy2g. I just got a fix it ticket for my exhaust (which is Greddy Evo by the way) I tried to explain to the dumb ass cop that it was 50 state legal. Like all cops, the pig didn't believe me so he proceeded to write me a ticket. I took it to court and he showed up for the hearing too (suprisingly for a fix it ticket). Nevertheless, i was prepared. Before i went to court i requested a certificate from the Greddy manufacturer proving its legality. So when the cop tried to explain to the judge that it violated the vehicle code for a modified muffler, i slapped him with the certificate (not literally...i wish) anyways, so the judge reviewed it asked the cop if he knew how loud my exhaust was and if he knew what the db sound level limit was. The ignorant cop answered no to both questions. I was home free, the judge found me not guilty and the cop felt stupid as hell. The point im trying to get at is that the certificate saved my ass. It indicated the db level of my muffler and what rpm speed it was tested at along with the VC sound level limit. The greddy evo is a tight exhaust cuz its legal, sounds deep and throaty, and still gives a noticeable difference in HP. Sorry so long guys i just thought id share.
