I have a 1992 honda accord lx, can anyone tell me where my ECU is located in my car? Is it possible to but an EX ecu in my lx car? Any tips on making my car faster and look better?

the ECU is located on the passenger side flooboard underneath the consold and carpet. As for the benfits of putting an EX ECU i doubt there will much of an Improvement i may be wrong though.

I have a Jet V-Force performance chip. I was wondering if anyone had this chip or if anyone knows a person with it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I think that I am getting more horsepower but I am not sure.

i have heard that these superchips do jus a lil good, like you can feel it pull better in 3rd or something like that.....i think the most it has gained is like 5 or some shtz....just get an ex ecu, same thing

I am looking for an Ex chip but i cant find one any where. I guess that i have to go to the junkyard. Is the ECU under the passenger seat?

the usual I/H/E pullies amd of course some sort of FI would make it faster :)

you won't notice much of a difference with the chip because you don't have any major engine mods, also getting an EX ecu won't make much (if any) difference.

thanx metro, u wont feel much of diff of the ecu change to ex, do the standard i/h/e, you could also go get an ex header, cause really our lx's only have exhaust manifolds not a header, so get an aftermarket header or ex header, if u really want power go h22a or get a t3garret turbo and turbo ur f22, i have to update my sig, my car doesnt look like that ne more, i took off the mudgaurds, the springs settled even more and i did my interior

no, they are different, there is a difference between a header and a exhaust manifold, thats why there is a hp diff between lx and ex

the ex's on that model accord had 5 more hp from a different intake manifold design. they had the dual runner setup where the secondary runners open up on the top end like the gs-r's do.

WTF?!
it's really not that complicated. The LX accord has a 4-1 exhaust manifold, while the EX has a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. That is part of the reason for the extra 5 hp, the other reason is the ECU programing.

AN EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS ANOTHER NAME FOR A HEADER!

arent 4-1 headers better then 4-2-1 headers?

4-1 design is good for engines that are capable of a high engine speed and make their power in the top-end of the power band. I have no idea why an LX accord has a 4-1 design.
