View Full Version : 1987 Honda Accord.......Probems with the idling!!!!!!

Been having idling problmes, the car shuts off when its in neutral, but runs fine if your moving.I tried turning up the choke but i cant turn it up any more.
Could it be the fuel pump???

check the TPS....(Throttle Positioning sensor)..i dunno??? :confused:

its not your fuel pump, if it was your fuel pump it would give out on you as your driving. When you put it in neutral and keep the revs up does the car stay on??

If i keep the revs up the car does stay running, it's just when its in neutral it dies!

try adjusting your idle, that what it sounds like to me.

I raised the idling up a bight, it was idling at 1.5?

sounds like a vacumm leak

yeah if ur idling at 1,500 roms it has to be a vaccum leak
