View Full Version : can u beat a celica gts (2000 and up)

hey from experience can a stock accord (maybe 98 and up) beat a stock celica gt-s (2000 and up). im talking about a vtec accord. im selling my civic for a gts but my boi doesnt think it could take on his 98 accord vtec, ive driven both and i have a differnet feeling about that. but i would like ur opinion if u might ahve done it or wat not???

when accordy2g's car was stock it ran 16.0's. a stock celica gts with a good driver will run 15.0-15.2. I've seen a guy with intake, headers, and catback bust into high 14's.

I test drove one when they first came out, they're pretty quick and cool little cars. I really like the interior, the seats are sweet.

now a celica "gt" is butt slow, but I've only driven an auto gt.

hey iv got a 95 civic with intake and exhaust and whooped a 2000 gt-s with cold air and exhaust....guessing he couldnt drive for shit

There isn't a chance in hell of a stock accord taking a gts celica...ever. infact i don't even think the person driving the celica would have to even try.

legrac95, i wouldn't go around bragging about that too much, you just might have to race someone who knows how to drive. :p

well, you have a h22 accord which is diff from a vtec accord. b/c a normal vtec accord wouldn't beat a GTS, but a h22 will however

nope, sorry. i own a 2000 accord with the F23A and a five speed with CAI. now, i'm no slouch with straight line, the boys i run with will tell you this (ask rotoryFDTT), and i get walked by GT-S's all day. i my get them off the line, but past 30mph, i'm done. there is your answer, now go kick some accord ass!!! (hey, wait a minute!!! :rolleyes: my car is SLOW!! damn it!! :mad: that's it! i'm goin' turbo!!)
