Could a prelude tranny be mated to a 6th gen Accord? Also if it could be mated would it help or hurt perfomance by doing this? Just thought of that and wanted to throw it out there and ask..

i'veheard thats a no go. i've already been through a tranny (50,000mi) so i was looking into swaps and was told my 5spd is the ONLY 5spd for that engine. PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong. i need a durable tranny.

Someone on HondaSociety has done this! It is definitely possible, I think they said it bolted right up, but don't quote me...

The h22 tranny has shorter gear ratios so you would accelerate quicker, but top out faster. The f23 tranny would be better top end or maybe passing on the highway @ high speed...

Yes it can be done--is direct bolt on.
H23 will also work and is cheaper but has slightly less gear then the H23 but more then the F23.
