accordy2g

Please say you aren't going to build the red hatch. Rebuild the Accord man--build the Cord. What happened to all the stuff from your car. Did you sell it? Please say you kept the interior. Alls you need is a new door and pop off the quarter at the welds and get a new one. Or get another unibody shell and transfer over the stuff. If you had a shell you could weld tight the fram leave out the sound deadner and have a much lighter car. Please rebuild the car!!!
candymanjl
08-20-2002, 01:31 AM
he he, he'll rebuild it eventually, the interior is still in there, but no turbo kit.

tooo bad :( that was a nice car, is there any frame damage? that axel could be kinda pricey to replace...damn you really got hit :( how fast was the other guy going? well if its not as bad as it looks then go ahead and rebuild it, but if its a salvage title i dunno if its worth spending the money...it might be hard to sell...especaly with carfax being so popular thease days, plus youll never get your investment out of it, but hey if you dont car about that stuff and all you want is your baby back(witch i totaly understand ;)) then go for it, and while your at it throw in a short throw shifter and a fat knob :D good luck....
just because i sit outside your house at night taking pictures of you while you sleep doesnt mean im a stalker.....it means im a fan!
accordy2g
09-17-2002, 08:27 AM
no i m gonna get another turbo kit not sure if going h22a but that wont be anytime soon. As for the exterior stuff its still at my house i never sold that stuff so its going back in the car. As for frame damage not just a lot of body work to be done. Yeah it doesnt have a salvaged title so im gonna fix it and keep it till the 6spd new accords come out then trade it in. Its been dead for like 5-6 months now but i wanna do it right, i would rather do it right and spend 8k rather do it for 4 k and have it look like shit. the most importnat thing to me is the paint quality. Cause thats the quickest way to tell if a car has been in an accident. I found a place that will do it for 2500 but they do awesome ass work. I figure why go cheap and regret it later.

ECKO97:
i found my kit on www.thepartstader.com (http://www.thepartstader.com) I paid 1900 then had to buy lil misc stuff so about 2200. As far as WHP without exhaust at 6psi me and candymanjl gteched it at 202hp. And the gtech isnt a 100% accurate but a good estimater. But with the 9psi exhaust and a lil minor goodies i would say around 230 or so, which aint a lot of power but for an accord its ok.
SlVrAcCoRd
01-19-2003, 01:40 PM
Did you have any problems with the drag turbo kit? Let me know, even if it was minor. Im planning to drop turbo in mine but im not sure if i want to go get one custom fabricated, fmax turbo kit, or the drag? so far the fmax looks more reliable than any one of these. But i don't want to worry about detonating.

I had no problem whatsoever with the drag kit. I was running 6psi without a fuel pump then 9psi with a fuel pump with no detonation. I used msd wires and msd 6btm and never had one proble. Good Luck

Is the MSD btm better, as opposed to the head gasket? and i found these stats with the fmax turbo kit compared to the drag http://www.f-max.com/CIVIC%20EX%20HP%20SHEET%20VS%20DRAG.jpg http://www.f-max.com/GSR%20HP%20SHEET%20VS%20DRAG.jpg this kit extracted more power than the drag. And also a little more reliable but since you got the drag kit im trying to get your perspective on it. thanks for the help by the way. <img src="http://www.clubhonda.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin::confused:--> It seems like fmax does a lil more magic for the sohc than the drag does. The comparison with the fmax & drag for the dohc is almost equivalent. By the way, when you dyno tuned your car, was there a dip in the powerband when your vtec engaged? i heard turbo and vtec sometimes doesn't mix. The vtec causes a dip. Oh yeah, good choice in rims! Im now in the process of gettin some volk Le37

Civicbeater: i dont know if i will have anything extra in the $ dept. I wanna get it done first then within the first month rim and drop it on some 19's.
As for the drag kit, the fmax kit i think is a better kit and produces a lil bit more power but the cost is a bit higher for the fmax kit as opposed to the drag kit. As for dynoing i have never dynoed my car other than a g-tech run. As for the msd being better, i liked it cause you could adjst the timing depending on the amount of boost to keep from detonating, but i would rather have both the head gasket and msd for more security.
