hit a peice of F'n tire on the highway

rich and i were haulin ass to get to jacksonville for the night and at about 12 am it all happened. rich was in front and i was about 5 cars back. moving at about 80. i here bang and i see a rubber black thing coming towards me! oh crap, i swerve to the left but theres not much room, road had one of those concrete walls no emergency lane. i almost missed it but alsmost means i smacked it. hit the right side of the bumper and lip. small 1 inch crack in the lip and scratched the hell outa the bumper and lip.

rich ate it harder though, his CR lip is destroyed :(

im hoping i can polish out most of the scratched but we will see. it was so damn dark out. street lights assholes! all the money they got the last few years from booming property and none went to street lights on the main highways :wtf:

DAMN ! That sucks. I noticed a lot of blown tire going home as well as road kill. I mean if they're not going to put lights on the road atleast clean up the mess during the day so there is less to avoid at night.

Was the bang from Rich hitting it or did a truck loose a tire in front of him?

between hotlanta and jacksonville. we worked on the S2000 lip tonight, got it to pass the standing in front of the car test, just don't get down and look too close :)

my car on the other hand, yeah, no fixing that lip.

Damn that sucks for your lip, it had to shatter, damn CF. Good you could get Ants car back though.

quick pic i took the day after on my camera phone. its not bad and not nearly as bad as richs lip looks. just annoying cuase before this the damn lip was perfect! now if you look closely, theres nasty scratches in it. oh well.

Well thankfully it wasn't worse. How does she look now? Looks like alot of that rubber would come off with some waxing. You could always make a claim through the insurance though it might not be worth the hike in rates for 5-600 in paint.
