There is a guy locally who is changing his em1 back to stock. He will straight up trade for my stock springs for his nuespeed's with oem shocks.

How do they hold up?

here is a pic of his si with the springs

Let me know what you guys think. I don't want to lower it too much and it looks like these springs achieve at least that.

I heard that they're not bad. On stock struts the ride will be a little squishy due to the softness of the damper but will noticeably handle better. As for how long the stock struts will last, there's no way to tell.

Mine lasted just about a year and a half. A friend of mine lasted just over 3 months.

he's selling a rear strut tower brace and a lower tie bar. both dc sports. Should I definately consider the tower brace and tie bar?

I don't know what the hell struts are and if the tower brace is what I need to replace my "struts"

I also am probably taking his dc sports cat-back exhaust for my stock one. I've heard alot of good things about there exhausts.

Let me know AL

well I just talked to a buddy around here and he told me he had neuspeeds on his civic with oem shocks and he said his ride was worste than stock. pretty bouncy too. He pretty much steered me away I guess

Strut braces are always a good idea but honestly, you can get a whole set of "ebay" bars for $50 bucks that will do the same job as the $100 plus each bars that DC makes. Unless you're getting them dirt cheap then I would say get them.

DC exhausts sound nice. Nice tone and not loud and raspy like alot of things out there, that for sure would be a good pick-up.

When I say struts they're shocks well they are really struts but people reffer to them as shocks...LoL...I think that makes sense. His ride was probably really bouncey cause his stock struts were blown, tell tale sign. I would go ahead and get the springs and save for some struts. I think you can pick up a set of tokico blues for $275 a set which is pretty damn cheap.

al's probably right, they guy's shocks were probably dead from riding so much lower than stock. either get the blues or I paid $345 shipped for my adjustable tokico illuminas off of ebay. similar ride, the adjustables let you get a little stiffer if you want.

for a good price the neuspeed's should be fine, or you could spend around $350 for ground controls and then you've got adjustable ride hieght and eibach progressive rate springs.
