Well, After alot of research I believe I'm going with an Astro Start remote start kit.

The awsome thing about them is that they are made in canada where fcc doesnt have as strict rules with radio operated devices. So what that means is Astrostarts remote start kit will work up to 2000 and more feet! Sweet deal. The reliabilty is also very good from what I've read from owners.

They make alarm combos too. That will put you at about $190. Just the remote start kit is like $120. I'm going to have to spend about 60 bucks on a bypass kit but all in all I think i'm going to be happy with this system.

Any of you guys ever heard of them?

They are one of the best remote starters made. There 2-way paging units are bad-ass but are realistically a little more than I need or want to spend. I'll have to give you guys feedback once I get it installed :coolred:

I wish I could get my alarm installed already but nobody wants to put autostart on manual cars. I guess maybe I could do without it and use the rest of the functions:crying:

Yes they got to be the 1st ones to reject me. They don't want to be liable in case of an accident.

That's bull. I just went yesterday to inquire and they told me with no hesitation that it would be $125or something around there. I didn't really hear exactly what he said. That's after I told him I was going to bring a unit that they don't sell.

I wish I lived near you because they told me $200 and that's without autostart, then another $15 to add the trunk option.

Are you reffering to remote start? The product I bought is an ASTROstart that make alarms, remote starts, and what not.

What is $200 covering? Just labor?

Yes I am reffering to the remote start. I have a Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 already and the $200 is just the labor alone, but I think I will look for a cheaper price since it still excludes the remote start...:badthumb:

Got it installed today.

It actually ended up being $200 with the bypass I needed. Also the first guy quoted me for 2 hours of work when it ended up taking 6-7.

It's pimp. and yes the range is rediculous! I love the confirmation I get on the remote knowing that it started.
