the left side of my engine is leakin oil.

Hey people.

my car is at 76k. and I have done all the stuff to keep it running good. But, below the disturbtor. cap for the "spark wires", its leaking. THere is a black tube. it seems like an oil pump "tube". is this a sign that I should replace my oil pump? or it is the Gasket?

Where is the oil coming from??? is it leaking down from your valve cover, or comin from a seal at the end of the hose?

I had a leak that looked like it was coming from the Dist on my B16A, but it was the cam seal that went bad. I would guess that's what happened, but it's just a guess. All be it from experience.

cam seal, little paint in the ass but get the distributor out and it wont be too bad. its quite simple to get old one out.

1. remove distributor
2. use a regualr screwdriver and needle nose pliers.
3. pry out the seal
4. then pull out the old one using needle noses
5. tightly install new seal
6. whipe down spilled oil that was on the block etc, so if the seal leaks, you can see it easily.

it was the cam seal all along. damn. i thought i was running my car too hard or something. THanks for the helps guys.
