Hey whats up guys, heres the deal, my friend has an 00 SI, , he is getting a loan about $14g's, and hes buying an Euro R "accord" motor, does anyone know that it will FIT? in there? and it is possible to run low 12's with that motor swap? personally i dont think its possible, unless its TT- or 100 shot of nos.

Has anyone ever heard of this? or has it be done?

Turbo yes, 100 shot of nos I'm sceptical if you will reach into the 12's. That engine is a 2 liter 220hp!

Of Course it will fit, as long as you have the right mounts. If a 2.2L h22a motor can fit into civic's, than this 2L motor defiantly can.

All this is true, the right mounts and a custom linkage, and you are in there. you may want to check with the motor mount manufacturer, and since you are dealing with HONDA motors, call up HASport. Good Luck! As Always POST PICS!!!!

my friend is selling his b16 si motor, and he is talking to jdmparts.com ppl right now, about getting that euro R motor. believe it or not, his plants is to run a low 12, i kinda laugh at him, hahahaa. is that even possible guys? i know a civic is light. and even with a euro R, it would be aloT faster, but running 12 is kind of fast there. as of right now he is investing alot of cash and time in the ride.

Well guys its a 2.2 liter. Its a tuned H22. That makes 220BHP a shop in my area has one rigth now, and when put on a engine dyno, not a chassis dyno, it makes 235hp!! There kinda underrated over there. But really the only reason to get that motor other than the JDM Prelude Type S motor is the Tranny, shorter gears, LSD, stronger syncros which is a BIG problem in the American H22 trannys.

Obviously the accord in that website you have is the older model which is not delivered anymore. I live in Europe and I am very up to date with the market here about cars and if you didn't know the new Euro R is out already! and here are the pics. I have the text here too but it is in dutch but I will underline the keywords here for you and translate!

quote:
(Under the hood there is a 220 hp with a strong 2 liter engine with a 6 speed tranny on it)Maar ja, dat is allemaal mooi en aardig. Honda zegt dat er geen Type R is voorzien voor Europa. Wij denken dat als we maar lang genoeg zeuren, het toch voor elkaar komt.

Regardless, the 2.2 would be a better motor for a civic..the torque feels great....and about not being about to run 12s? i runa 12.9 with stock internals on a jdm h22. So a ATR motor would be better....as long as it has a LSD and more torque. But the h22a is the straight line performer. With internals, low 12s, maybe high 11s

92 Civic hatchback....$3000
h22a motorswap........$3600
Minor bolt ons........$1000
Devistating a $40,000 corvette.....priceless

why would you swap that motor in? just get a foogen rwd conversion and a nsx motor. i mean not only are you defeating the purpose of that tiny little 1.6 liter engine in that car but the car will handle like a bus. the max i would go on any civic is 2.0. 2.2 is pushing it and you would be breaking axles. just a thought.
